Personal Data Permission (Spain)

i had the meeting yesterday and there it was announced that there will be a new law passed in spain regarding personal data.

that law makes it compulsory for the wt spanish branch to collect a signed permission from the publishers to keep and utilize personal data.

no choice was given to us, we were just told to make sure we hand in our signed permissions before may 18th.

Bobcat is right! You have the right to speak to an attorney BEFORE signing anything. This is not just you. Your signing something for the Watchtower containing your personal information could affect every member of your family.

The leaked information coming out of the Watchtower organization is massive. If you say NO and the Watchtower doesn't like it, then tell them to take their data form and put it where the sun don't shine!

This week alone, I have heard from elders themselves they they are NOT going to sign anything without consulting a legal rep. This data crap the Watchtower is pulling is going to cost them a lot of members who can see right through this scam.

But to tell you the truth, I think the person making the request is really meaning a convention lapel card. I haven't heard of a Kingdom Ministry School lapel badge.

I just copied and pasted the request they sent and then thought, (What are they talking about?)

I know we have some letters that speak about people who make a disturbance at the Kingdom Halls, and elders are instructed to call the police.

Shameful they will call the police for a meeting disturbance and not for a child who has been molested.

I don't think they call it (hall crashing), I think they call it a "disturbance" and to call the police. The rank&file JW are pretty much on his or her own if someone crashes their literature cart, if the "crashing" is not done on Watchtower property. The JW themselves would have to call the police.

I'll look and see what we can dig out of the Archives as soon as I finish this ham sandwich and ice-tea!
