hello all, i've been reading your site for a couple of years now, and have found, for the most part, it to be very helpful.

i must say, at first i was very "scared" at what i might find, but contrary to what i grew up learning, there is a "wealth" of information outside of the watchtower organization.

i haven't attended meetings for about two years now, and like many i've read about, have spent many hours researching, telling myself "i'm not wrong for searching", and doing more research.

whatever data is published in the insifght volumes then I would be in agreement with

Scholar, they are all in the insight volumes except for Neriglissar and guess they left him out for a good reason. But WTS does agree with History on the fall of Babylon in 539 and the only way you can get 539 is using these 66 years that 43, 2, 4, and 17 total.If you add any more years or take away any years from any of these Kings you will not be able to get 539 for the fall of Babylon. I won't be writting anything else to you because you are as full of chit as the WTS! Besides Jesus, in one of his illustrations compared the Kingdom to a pearl. A pearl is something precious and he said not to cast your pearl before a swine because they would not appreciate it. I can only hope the others will ignore you as well because it is pretty obvious you are an Apostate!

Babylonian supremacy lasted 607-537?

the land remained desolated 70 years? Watchtower has never denied that the 70 years do not refer to Babylon's supremacy.

You idiot, Babylon was conquered in 539. It sure hurts you to admit the truth,doesn't it? No where in the Bible does it say the land remained desolated for 70 years. If Babylon's supremacy lasted down to 539 it could not have had power in 537. Did you even look up those pages in the Daniel book and the Insight book that i posted? That proves they did deny that the 70 years do not refer to Babylon's supremacy.And what about the contradiction they made of Daniel :4 17 in your Daniel book on page 87 and par.24 on page 94? add 70 years to 539 =609. History says Jehoiakim begin to rule in 609 and the Bible says he ruled 11 years so 609-11=598. Zedekiah ruled next for 11 years. 598-11=587. Jerusalem was laid desolate in 587. 587 down to 537=50 years. Jerusalem laid desolated for 50 years. So simple but like so many have said you are controlled by that cult. If you don't care about your life, stay in there and serve that cult that doesn't care for you or anyone else. They love that money and that is their God.

the context of Jeremiah's letter convincingly demonstrates that the seventy years are of the exiles and not of Babylon's

Scholar,go get your book "Isaiah's Prophecy Vol.1" page 253 par.21.It plainly states the 70 years represent Babylon's World Power. This agrees with History also. For once they told the truth. Now look in your Daniel book page 50, par.9 and see how they contridict their self saying Nebuchadnezzar reigned for 43 years and that dynasty continued for 43 more years, until the death of Belshazzar in 539. they are saying Babylon had World Power for 86 years. On page 131, they say Babylon had WP 607-539, that is 68 years. Now get your Vol. 1 Insight book page 205 under "The fall of the Empire" par.1 states the Assyrisn Empire came to an end in 632. So this would make Babylon the next WP. 632-539=93 years. They not only contridict themself but God's word, look on page 87 of the Daniel book. Daniel plainly says the Tree in Daniel 4:17 represents Nebuchadnezzar and his rulership was to the extreity of the earth. But Society says the Tree represents Jehovah and his rulership. Who do you choose to believe ,God's word or some man who thinks he knows more than God? The next par. 11 Daniel says 7 times would pass over NEBUCHADNEZZAR'S RULERSHIP. but on page 94 par.24 Society says the 7 times is to pass over God's rulership. That is not in the Bible.But Society twists the scriptures so it will look like they know it all. But at least thry are fullfilling Bible Prophecy. 2 Peter 3 16 "the untaught and unsteady are twisting the scriptures to their own destruction."

Love, you are so right about that. I am no longer a JW but in the congregation I used to go, there were 2 child molesters and one admitted he was guilty. The little boy he molested was "worldly" and that's why charges were filed. He went to prison but left the organization in good standing. The other admitted he was guility also but it was a little girl who was a JW so nothing became of it and he comments at meetings like nothing happened. The WTS had this to say about the Catholic Church in the Awake Jan. 22,1989 page 9-11"the Catholic church conducts a cover up for guilty Priests and even makes it possible for them to continue their sexual perversions... church officials have failed to notify Authorities." Now notice what they tell the Elders in a Feb.15,2002 magazine "As directed in July1, 1989 letter to all bodies of elders,you should immediately call the Legal department for direction if you learn of a case of child abuse- Never suggest to anyone they should call the police or other authorities." What hypocrites!

Scholar that is exactly what i said! The seventy years does end in 539 when the royalty of Persia begin to reign.So add 70 to 539=609. 609-539 is how long Babylon had World power. After saying "They will serve the King of Babylon for 70 years" in Jeremiah 25, the following verse [12] says "when the 70 years are accomplished I will punish the King of Babylon AND THAT NATION " Chapter 29 tells of a letter that Jeremiah sent to all the captives that Nebuchadnezzar carried from Jerusalem to Babylon. The letter told the captives to build houses, plant gardens. marry and havechildren and in verse 10, they are told after the 70 years are accomplished at Babylon that God would keep his word and return them to Jerusalem. They had to stay in Babylon 70 years before they could return. Jeremiah does not say the land will be desolated for 70 years, it says"the whole land will be desolated."If you read verse 9, it wasn't just Judah that would be desolated but all the nations.The 70 years is only linked to serving the King of Babylon. But Scholar, I realize you can't believe the Bible if you want to stay in that cult. You have to believe the WTS over the Bible.

Ezekiel, Jesus never said he had a slave "class" the WTS added the word "class" and you know what the Bible says about adding to or taking away from God's word. At Matthew 24:45-47Jesus uses singular words"slave" "his" and "him". read Revelation 1:1, here Jesus calls John his slave and John is to show the slaves what must take place shortly .Verse 19 of chapter 1, John is told to write down the things he saw, the things that are, and also the things that will take place. Verse 11 John is told to write and send it to the 7 congregations. At the beginning of matthew 24:3, Jesus is talking to his disciples and tells them at verse 34 "this generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur." He was talking to his disciples so they understood Jesus to mean in their life time when he said "this generation." The end for them came in 70CE. I believe John is the "slave" Jesus was talking about, but no one has to agree with me and guess what? I will still speak to them. How long have you been in that cult? At Luke 21:8 Jesus says "many will come on the basis of my name saying "I am the Christ" and "the time draweth near"[ King James version] New World Translation says "The due time time has approached." WTS is always saying" the end "is close.They have also givin many wrong dates for the "end of the world" such as 1914, 1918, 1925 and 1975 .These are only a few of their lies.

Agree with child abuse but an Elder did steal some money from me but of course can't prove it but at least he knows i know he did it. Not that he cares! So glad to be out of that cult.

In addition it has made thousands of ridiculous statements. The following claim about the Watchtower being "consistently dependable" is a lie. "Since 1879 it has been published regularly for the benefit of sincere students of the Bible. Over that extended period of time the Watchtower has consistently proven itself dependable."[New World Translation of the Christian Greek Scriptures 1950 p.793.] According to Jesus, that makes the Devil their Farther.[John 8:44]
