  When 2 elders came calling on me about 4 years ago to see what my problem was. They were here for 2 hours and I ask them 4 times to show me from the Bible how they got 607 for Jeruslem's desolation. Neither of them opened their Bibles or even tried to explain it to me. They kept changing the subject. They left and told my Daughter I didn't give them a chance. I told her they were here for 2 hours and I ask them 4 times to show me. But she chose to believe them.

  isnt a religion suppose to uplift u and encourage u?

  when i was a jw(d'fed now) i remember sitting thru the meetings listening about death and destruction and how people were going to die who were not jw.

  i was more depressed being one of jw than i was when i was a catholic.

  Are we living in the Last Days?

  have you ever thought why apostle paul do not mention wars, pestilence, earthquackes, famine when he talks about the last days?

  or why apostle peter only says, that in the last days ridiculers will come, asking were is his promised presence, and that from the beginning all remains exactly the same?

  and why does peter not say: look at the wars, but says: all has not been the same, because a flood occured.

  The last days are here for all of us because we ALL grow old, and die.

  Thats my thoughts, passive. The last days the Bible is talking about is from 33 C.E. to 70 C.E. Read Acts 2:17.

  i have a feeling i am going to have to explain to my jw folks why i have decided to allow my children to participate in holidays at school.

  theyll probably be wondering too why i will get together with our non jw family for the holidays.. .

  we know jws avoid holidays because of their pagan origins.

WAS THE HEAD AND ALLTOGETHER DANIEL ONLY LISTED FOUR KINGDOMS SO THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN FULLFILLED. IN FACT THE KJ BIBLE SAYS ['IN THE DAYS OF ' THESE' KINGS' ] SHOWING IT MEANT AT THAT TIME. IT HAS NO FUTURE FULLFILLMENT BUT WTS SAYS IT DOES. EVERY THING HAS A GREATER FULLFILLMENT FOR THEM.

  I am going to expose the WTS to my son....

  this friday, my younger son and his new girlfriend will be coming by for a visit.

  now, i haven't seen him in almost a year, and have only spoken to him once on the phone since.

  we kinda had a rocky road after my ex and my divorce 6 years ago.

  New version of "Shining as illuminators"?

  does anybody have a copy of a newer version of the pioneer service school book, "shining as illuminators in the world"....???

  maybe even the latest updated version when the "school" was revised a couple of years ago?

  TooBad TooSad, You had some good points. It might be a good idea to ask,"Do you believe the end is close?" when they call. If they say "Yes." Then ask them some of the questions you had. I think I will try this if I ever get the chance.
