  Is anyone familiar with the Pillar of Fire church/movement in Denver, CO?

  i would have never believed the book i am reading...."the magic & the madness" about micheal jackson .

  she was divorced from joe( who treated the kids so badly) it tells what kind of a jw he was.

  i have a query about 1874/1914 for the beginning of the lord's presence.. .

  in the literature, this is what was said-->.

  when a foreign head of state visits a country, the dates of his presence there are generally announced.

  They use "607" to get 1914, since 607 is a lie,

  some threads question the intelligence of people who would "fall for" the teachings of the wts.. one of the current threads on this topic uses the terms "king......dumb.....hall" and calls jw's stupid, mindless, idiots.

  my question is: what are you falling for now?.

  i did for a year.

  i falsified reports, had fake rv's, told groups i was meeting up with other groups and went home just to show a presense.

  i wasn't fading though, because of my situation i had to play like everything was fine.

  i saw todays text(tm) and it was obvious bait and switch!.

  it was banging on about listening to the holy spirit (a good thing if you believe in it), and then they used these sickifying words:.

  ''we do not need extensive formal education in order to comprehend deep spiritual truths that have been published.''.

  this is my first post on this forum, though it feels like i already know some of you here.

  i have been lurking for a couple of months now, and i must say, there honestly seems to be more love and respect here than any forum i have ever seen on any forum of any kind.

  i am 25 years old, married 3 years to my wonderful wife who is 22. we had a somewhat classic jw upbringing... which i now know has been our biggest problem.

  Welcome Captain, Those are all good books that

  have been mentioned. The Bible at Zechariah 7: verses 1 and 4

  also prove 607 wrong. In verse 1, the forth year for King Darius

  was 518. Verse 4, they were weeping in the 5th and 7th month

  for 70 years. 2Kings 25 :8-9 shows the 5th month was when

  Jerusalem was desolated. Two months later 2Kings 25:25

  says this was when Gedaliah and his men were killed.

  The organization says 607 for Jerusalem but History says 587.

  607 as the first year weeped down to 518 = 90 years.

  587 as the first year down to 518= 70 years.

  607-20=587. They are 20 years off.

  esus gave his apostles this command, "these twelve jesus sent forth, giving them these orders: "do not go off into the road of the nations, and do not enter into a samar itan city; but, instead, go continually to the lost sheep of the house of israel.

  (matthew 10:5-6) he even applied it to himself, "i was not sent forth to any but to the lost sheep of the house of israel".

  (matthew 15:24) at pentecost, peter's rousing speech to the jewish crowd confirmed what jesus had said, "to you first god, after raising up his servant, sent him forth to bless you by turning each one away from your wicked deeds.
