  I don't think God is fair./what do u think?

  my therapist and i talked about the bible, specifically, adam and eve and their sinning by eating from the forbidden fruit.

  he says it is really a great lesson on consequences of your actions.

  i agreed and we talked at some length about it, but one thing i decided, god was not fair.

  Maybe there is a method to the madness

  As the designer and creator of the two, god is directly responsible for the actions of his creations. The whole apple tree test wasn't a test of the creation but the creators design

  Assuming it all to be true and real - including god:

  God is a designer and has designed an intelligent being with freewill. He was testing his products.

  God being omnieverything and having 'inside information' on how the brain works, would have known exactly what would happen in this situation. His designs where simultaneously a success and failure; even in the face of death, freewill over powered the instructions he had given, but, his perfect creation was no longer perfect.

  If he designed man perfectly, then why not design the world perfectly i.e. without evil, so there is balance?

  Remember, this is the second time that one of his creations has gone against his instruction as a result of having freewill. He is only too aware of what will happen.

  We are here for his entertainment.

  Assuming it all to be true of course

  Anyone vegetarian and why??????????

  i'm not vegetarian.

  being italian and brought up on the mediterranian diet i tend to eat a lot of fruit, vegetables, cheese, pasta, rice and some meat.. i'm just curious to know who here is vegeterian and why?????.

  I'm not vegitarian but I wont eat any form of processed meat or soups, pies etc that have minced meat in them. Oh, and I wont eat sea bugs...blerk

  Ditto.

  I will only eat meat if I have prepared it (not butchered), and know within reason where it has come from i.e. local butcher supplied by local farms.

  Though from a hygienic and humane point of view I would prefer to do the whole thing myself, I lack the necessary skills and inclination. That is not to say however, that I do not appreciate what has to be done.

  So, just as I prefer to pay someone to pick my vegetables, clean and package them, I prefer to pay someone to butcher my meat, and in turn, I am paid to do something someone else can't or won't.

  hello there i would like to tell a story that will shock you.

  this is how it all started... my sister at 19 was planning to marry a brother into the kingdom hall, she was not yet baptized so she was trying to keep her marriage plans a secret.

  a couple of weeks from her marriage the elders of the congretation found out and contacted my mother whom we were still living with.

  Aww, they never tried anything like that with me. Suppose I was never baptised, but I wish they had!

  I'd have shown them how to really drive and had a barrel of laughs at the same time ... then just for good measure, after I'd lost them of course, I'd have gone back to kick their ass .

  I hate black pudding...

  ...But I love music, and being that most of the music I like is inherently 'worldy', my music collection has exploded over the last few years! Still have to be a bit careful though; my mother is still a JW and I still stay in her house! What? .... yes I know i'm 26 .. thankyou.

  Long time apostate, first time poster.

  just found this site today and as well as being amused, concerned and shocked at some of the stuff i?ve found here, reading the bios and posts of other ex jw?s has in a way made me feel a little bit less alone in the world.

  don?t get me wrong, i?m not an emotionally scared loner, it?s like i?ve finally found someone else to stand outside morning assemble with.

  Yes, I'm sure you'll find 'miriads and miriads of (ex)brothers' on here with similar experiences. I have been away for 10 years, and haven't really thought about it all that much in that time, but stumbled on this site thanks to my brother (the flesh and blood kind), so like to come on for a gripe now and again.

  Incedentally, I used to go to Goole Congregation, did my first talk in the second school there LOL.

  Anyway, welcome :)

  Time of the End .... for the WTBTS?

  i know the wtbts have bastardised the criteria for 'the time of the end' and 1914, but as far as i am aware, it will still come while those that were alive in 1914 (not necessarily of an understanding age lol) are still alive, yes?

  now, if we give them all until they are 110 years old (quite generous of me don't you think), that means in 20 years time we should see the wtbts disappear (or at least be in rapid decline) as all of the anointed are pushing up daisies, and this wicked world is still alive and kicking.

  suppose we could see an increase in field service at old folks homes!

  1. You loved school 'cause you finally got to mingle with real people.

  2. You could see every inch of your (hideous) wallpaper as there were no posters allowed.

  3. You had to leave your friends at the school gate and you had to pretend you liked the other witness kids otherwise you would have no social life.

  4. You dreaded the weekends.

  5. You would beat yourself up for ‘individual thinking’ which was against the societies guidelines, and would pray for forgiveness.

  Does anyone know if any of the 144,000 has left the JW's due to a change in beliefs? What was the reaction of their hall?

  I suppose that would then mean that they were never really one of the 144,000 and that someone else is destined to be, but it would be seen by the remaining JW's that they had a lot to ‘lose’ - might get them thinking.

  Just wondered.
