America was poised to remove troops and support from rebels, and the Syrian government has been gaining ground: exactly not the time it would make sense for the Syrian government to provoke the west with chemical weapons.

I don’t know. I heard it on Radio 4 while driving. A guest on one of the news programmes said it was odd that our governments assumed the Syrian government was behind the chemical attack when there are other likely agents who could have done it. And our governments didn’t wait for evidence.

Why NO bibles??

Athanasius I’m guessing that was a few years ago, you could get Bibles more freely then. But since Watchtower’s financial crisis in 2015 Bibles have not been freely offered.

I think they’ll soon stop printing Bibles altogether.

What kind of weapons did the US use in Fallujah?
What kind of weapons would the US and UK use if rebel insurgents captured Manchester or Boston, and they didn’t have access to expensive precision weapons?
Aren’t the US and UK the world’s leading arms exporters? Don’t you think this has something to do with their showcasing the latest precision weapons for clients states such as Saudia Arabia, Israel, and others?
Where is the evidence it was the Syrian government that used chemical weapons? Even the BBC seems doubtful. It doesn’t seem to make sense tactically, there are others who are likely culprits, and our governments didn’t wait for evidence before acting. No wonder many people think it looks suspicious.

When the British found that India had a textile industry to rival its own their solution was simple and effective. They cut off their fingers off. This set the tone. Millions died of avoidable starvation. The British pioneered concentration camps. Some of this is now well known. But really we don’t know half of it, due to operation legacy.

I have been told that in Germany the new literature contains the new wording of a the revised version that hasn’t been released yet. So the scriptures quoted in the literature doesn’t match the wording of the NWT version they use either in print or online. Can anyone in Germany confirm that?
If so it seems the new German version is complete but hasn’t been printed and distributed, similar to rumours about the Spanish version having been completed years ago.
Sir82 the fact is there were around 200 million copies of the old NWT printed between 1950 and 2013 when the number of JWs averaged around 3 million over the whole period. So how many copies would be needed between 2013 and 2018 when there are over 8 million JWs? I think 50 million is a reasonable estimate. I personally have three copies of the 2013 NWT in English and two foreign language versions. I think it’s very common for JWs to have a few copies of the Bible each, and to replace them periodically as well.
