Aqwabot has been on the site for decades, so I was curious what he sounded like in his own voice before AI was invented. A lot of the time he posted material from elsewhere, but a few times he wrote short messages himself. From his awkward use of language I wonder if English is not his first language. Here are a few early message that he posted:
Hi!
Please send me some e-books, about JWs and the WBTS practice and doctrines: critical literature, analysis etc. PDFs, DOCs, and other ebook format. For example Franz's second book, the "Captives of a Concept" book and others. May YOU have many of this in this subject.
Please send these to THIS email address.
Thanks.
Sometimes the so-called "pagan orign" is not problem for the Watchtower: wedding anniversaries, wedding rings, ties...
What's wrong withe word 'grace' ? Why don't the NWT use this word? Do they want to creat a new language to control the minds, like the Orwells' Newspeak?
Butterflyleia85 cited John 18:36 from the NWT as "My kingdom is no part of this world...". But this is just a mistranslation to justify their antipathy to the non-JW world. Jesus only said that here, that his kingdom is not of the world, so that is transcendent, and did not say anything about the JW-like "not part of the world". You can check the greek it only say: ek tou kosmou which means: of the world. The word "part" is not in the greek, that is only a Watctower insertion.
Russel did not calculate WW1, because his calculations lead to October of 1914, but the World War did not start at October, but at summer of 1914...
Before the NWT been available, usually their country's own traditional Protestant Bible translations were used. Other Bible translations is used today in Watchtower : for example, when they curse Catholics , they use the Catholic translation , etc. . but most JW individuals usually don't use other than the NWT. Sometimes a few fanatical JW acquire many other Bible translation , to then online pompously shout: " well, even that support us ! " (in some particular verses)
