  What Is THE Number One Reason For JWs Leaving???

  from what i can see, it's the "lack of love" that gets people to realize the witnesses don't have the "truth" after all!

  Definitely like the "spiritual abuse" statement, I agree with this.

  when did you stop believing?

  the light faded for me when i was twelve.

  i asked my uncle what happened to all the people who couldn't be reached by the "truth" in far off lands, or little kids whose parents didn't believe...ect... "would they still die in armagedon?

  " he answered yes, and from there on, whether it was bs or not, i couldn't believe.

  My family started studying when I was 10 or 11 I can`t remember. All I do recall though is

  my birthday and Christmas taken away with no questions asked! How tramatic for a child,

  then a bible, and strange people were tossed into the mix I was very unhappy and I believe

  now is when depression had set in for me. No one noticed or cared though. This was after

  already dealing with a birthmother walking out on her 3 children,a divorce, and then a stepmom

  who plainly made sure of the fact that she was this wonderful person to take over this already

  made family and to put my birthmother down at every shot.She was a drinker, a smoker, and

  a gossiper, boy did she have some issues to deal with God about! JW`s havn`t helped with

  her haughty and mightier than thee attitude either!

  i keep reading that russell was influenced by miller but i can't find a direct link.

  and i have some other questions i'm trying to figure out: .

  then tragedy struck.

  wow, this brings a tear to my eyes as a mother myself, I couldn`t begin

  to imagine losing a child, there truly could not be a greater loss.

  Peace be with you and your friend, I`ll say a prayer.

  did you pray for health, even if you knew that only in the new system your health would get better.... did you pray for a bible study?.

  I am very sad to say that I didn`t pray much on my own.

  Only at meetings and meals and before FS. Of course I was

  a young brainwashed teenage girl at the time and didn`t think

  along those lines. Very sad!

  But I pray often now, for strength to get through tough times my family

  faces. I pray for God to watch over my son and husband. I talk to God about

  how much I miss my Dad and Father-n-law since their deaths,two wonderful men.

  these arent family members according to the caption, they're just people waiting outside the courtroom when the sentence was announced.

  their faces show they have some major emotional investment in this trial.

  the man even appears to be praying.

  nilfun, I agree it is pretty sad how our media works and the all mighty

  powerful "dollar" talks! I hadn`t even heard of this case! My heart goes

  out to her family, it`s even more sad that they havn`t found her 5 year old son.

  i don't know about the rest of you but i seem to see newbies popping up all over the place.

  i love it.

  i think it would be helpful to have a new listing for newbies to introduce themselves.would there be any problems with this and would it help or hinder the board?
