Hi, Iv'e never been able to understand the reasoning behind why God did this, Genesis 11:1-8 why would God be threatened by people wanting to build a city. Perhaps someone can answer this for me. Thanks. Beth

The Untold Smurf Story -- Soldier of Fortune / XJW Edition January 2005
by Bendrr innote to mods: this issue has been edited and i'd like to re-submit it for the perusal of jwd.
leaving no shark unjumped, sof's xjw staff is thrilled to present our readers with an all-new format.
we're now a website instead of crude jpeg's, though we're still proud to be crude.

Covenant with Noah, VOID!!! So much for the rainbow..........
by deceit inwas it not jehovah?s promise to never kill humans again by means of massive floods?
i guess knocking on 100,000 deaths is just a minor slip-up.
knowing the response of jw's to the horrible situation in asia and their reasoning of it, makes me feel indescribably sick in the stomach!

Hi, It wasn't God's fault that it happened in the first place. If you look at a globe of the Earth, you can see how the continents once fit together.... the Earth is constantly changing, and people unfortunately, happen to be there when it does, resulting in untold grief and suffering. But I don't think God did it on purpose. Beth

I didn't love God enough to stop smoking
by embeth2525 inyesterday, i went to visit my friend, who is the jw that i was studying with and i told her about the problems i had had with the other congregation i had been in before.
i told her about how they had treated me not so very nice and how i had a terrible time, then quitting cigaretts.
i wasn't able to quit smoking back then, although i have since quit about 3 years now.

I told her about how they had treated me not so very nice and how I had a terrible time, then quitting cigaretts. I wasn't able to quit smoking back then, although I have since quit about 3 years now. My friend told me that If I loved God enough I should have been able to quit smoking. Personally, I think smoking is a medical problem due to the fact that it is an addiction. And that it has nothing to do with how much you love God. Anyway, I was just feeling a bit pissed off about it today. Thanks for listening. Beth
