So the question begs to be asked: Does the Watchtower Society and The Congreagations [Elders especially] care for the children? Do they really abhor child abuse as the thrust down the throats of many blind follwers?
They say they do, but when it comes down to the line they deny their duty of care.
Hiding behind legal eagles. These Judges do not know the extent of the control that each member bestows upon elders and how that control is exercised, by elders and the gb [notice lower case] unless you have lived in that society, you can not understand the awe and respect for man's opinions that must be shown.
How can GOD let this injustice continue? I have read all the victim stories on silentlambs, and it always leaves me dumb struck.

" in this case the avoidance of recognizing that the elders due to mind control forced sara into silence caused the judges to rule in dismissing the case.

Another LIE Stated in the Watchtower....with proof!
by gumby inthe society has always been cleaver enough with wording to skate around many things.
they use gramatical trickery which makes for many ' written skapegoats' they've used to protect ther validity as jehovahs mouthpiece.. i found a quote by them when researching for something on another thread and thought it was interesting.. below is an article in a 1993 awake!
march 22, pages 3-4.

Deputy Dog wrote: "However, Jehovah did not let the people of Christendom, as led by the clergy, go without being warned that the League was a counterfeit substitute for the real kingdom of God. He had a "prophet" to warn them. This "prophet" was not one man, but was a body of men and women. It was the small group of footstep followers of Jesus Christ, known at that time as International Bible Students. Today they are known as Jehovah’s Christian witnesses. They are still proclaiming a warning, and have been joined and assisted in their commissioned work by hundreds of thousands of persons who have listened to their message with belief."
Question related to this WT quote by DD.
Is the rank and File JW not a christian? to enable them to be called "Jehovah's Christain Witnesses", by they are rather plain garden variety "Jehovah's Witnesses"?
Probably read it a thousand times, never seen it!! -

My Epiphany
by geevee insorry, i hope this doesn't sound full of sh#t, but i just had this thought rush.
the life of joseph [as in the bible, not rutherford].

Thank you all for your kind comments. I certainly do hope to keep moving on with life, but at the same time would like to one day be heard by family and friends as a friend and not an enemy. There are not many JW's, family or friends that are prepared to stay in touch [as we all experience] but for those that do, both my wife and I try to be as normal as possible. Letting them see that we are not stressed or stuggling and that as a family we are remaining together [children NOT off the rails]. This in itself confuses the hell out of most.

Sorry, I hope this doesn't sound full of Sh#t, but I just had this thought rush.
The life of Joseph [as in the bible, not Rutherford].
He said things that his family didn't understand and didn't like. His brothers hated him, in fact so much that they bashed him and told their father he was dead. The sold him.
Joseph must have wondered why. I tell them things for their own good, yet they hate me. Why did they caste me out into the world? What is God's plan for me? Why am I here and not with my friends and family?
Then while in the world, as a slave, no contact with his family he makes his way. He is cut off from everything that was familiar. But he ends up, after some terrible things happening to him making good. Infact second in charge of the land. He learns to understands the world and benefits from it. Still, he must wonder why, what does God have in store for me?
Jump a few years into the future........
Famine hits God's chosen people. What will they do? Where will they go? How will the eat? What will they eat?
Jacob sends his sons out into the "world" to find food and where do they end up?
My epiphany: Are we like Joseph? [sorry if this sounds watchtowerish] I truly felt like God showed me that there is another way. What is happening among and in the world of JW's isn't right. We all know that it isn't the "truth", and we may not be able to figure out what the heck we are supposed to be doing. I just seem to be living life, making our way in the world [perhaps that is it] but is there a greater purpose as to why we chose to be out [yes in the world] at this time? Will there come a time when our families will be "starving" and need to find us and benefit from us, from the lives that we carve out for ourselves from this point forward? -

Quick survey for apostates - please everyone just yes or no answer
by slimboyfat indo the other witnesses with whom you associate/once associated in general know that you are an apostate or have apostate inclinations?
the reason for the phrase "in general" is that it may be the case that one or two close friends know how you feel, but others in general do not.
in my own case, one other witness knows, but no one else, so i would answer the survey question with a "no".

In the main, NO. We keep to ourselves and most of the dubs I know steer clear of us.
Only a few know we do not agree with the whole GB/FDS thing. -

That Daniel book is so crusty. It was bad enough taking the study in it the first time, I couldn't bear having to sit through one minute of it now.
You should stay home for ALL the meetings, enjoy your extra day and a half each week...... -

So after the "alleged ped" Jaracz, who must be the one in the power seat, who is next in line to the golden throne? Who of the old guys sits there dribbling on their shirt/tie and has to have someone help them with their bodily functions?
Or do the just do the crossie in the AWAKE! mag.
Who is Teds right hand man? Who on the GB does the dirty work? -

HOW MANY THOUGHT THEY WOULD SURVIVE
by beezknees ini'm sure this will have been discussed before..but i am new here, so i was wondering how many of you when you where active jw's actually beleived you were going to survive armageddon.
i personally being brought up in the 'truth' used to lie in bed frightened of it coming or world events always thinking i was too bad a person to survive, and even as an adult i always felt i was never doing enough or good enough to be 'chosen' for survival when the end came u were always made to feel like you should be doing more as though you could earn your salvation.
i have talked to someone else who i know has left and they felt the same, i was wondering how many of you guys actually beleived you would make it through armageddon

So the question begs to be asked of all JW's: Are you saved?
Most can not answer in the affirmative. Yet they can jusge me as NOT being saved, because I dont go any more. And they can look at me with disdain and contempt. Like I am worthless trash and yet they are NOT yet saved!!
How do you figure it out? -

So we all felt that we were dead meat....I used to have nightmares about judgement day and having to beg for my life. I also dream't about telling authorities where the JW's were when the persecution broke out....wonder if that was a vision!!
It is a wonderful thing not to be concerned about an event that isn't gonna happen. What a waste of head time it all was.
