A Comment by 95stormfront[?]I guess a four page insert is a lot cheaper than reprinting a whole book for 6 million people. I swear, if I were still in, this would be a huge "red flag" to me. That many changes in one book? If this many changes in just one book constitute the "truth" now, then what the hell were we studying back in the late 80's?
Now, I wonder whay a book company such as thw wts, doesnt reproduce the thing, correcting all the changes for whatever reason. Man they would sell another 6.6 million copies, nearly end up on the best seller list. All those donations!!!!!!! Plenty of dubs paying twices as much as they ought???

September KM - 70 alterations in Revelation Climax Book
by dozy ini can't find a thread on this subject yet - if there is one , please delete this one.. the september kingdom ministry has a 4 page insert detailing the 70 alterations in the revelation climax book which is due to be studied at the book study shortly.
i'll provide scans if anyone is interested.. i will leave it up to more experienced analysts to examine the reasons for specific changes , but just a few brief observations for now:.
p32 box - "they were completely exonerated" changed to "charges against them were dropped" - interesting change of terminology for the 1918 watchtower eight.

I Threw Away My Entire Watchtower Library Today

volumes in the 1800's to 2002.

I did this about 6 months ago too. It was extremely cathartic. It felts soooo good to get rid of it, and what a huge amount of room it made. Now there's enough room for my real theocratic library, where Ray Franz has prime position.
I did salvage some older books, and have bought some others from ebay...references.
All those bound volumes, who needs them? I do have 2005 cd from reexamine. -

Badges for Conventions
by ThomasCovenant ineach year name badges are handed out at the kingdom halls for those attending the upcoming district convention.
i have always refused to wear one but this was not a major issue as i would say only about 50% wore them anyway.
however i noticed that as the years went by more and more 'brothers' were wearing them including during the lunch break in the city centre concerned.

Terry, good point, we used to have various people playing the piano or violin with the piano, they used to give an extra tinkle here or there and just make the music a tad more interesting, but as we appreciate, the WTS do not want different or better than what they dish out, even something so simple as music.
Oz, great obsevation on brainwashing. The words. Man, these things plague us for years. Dont worry about what you may have "learned" then unlearned. These catchy little words stay with you for a long time as pointed out.
This is why the WTS is so down on "worldly" music. That stays in your head too. I used to sit in meetings with ELO running rampant, jeff lynne was trying to protect me!!!!!!!!!1 -

Am I alone in this phenomenon? I told my son and he laughed. He had a kingdumb song stuck in his head too!! and was getting a bit cut about it. I told him to listen to ACDC Thunderstruck, then hum a few bars, until it stuck....much better.
