  JW at a thrift store....

  so i was recently in a thrift store, looking through some of the stuff there, when another aisle over, somebody sneezed.. (as far as i know, nobody lost a meatball.... 😅🙃 ...).

  anyway, somebody sneezed.

  and somebody immediately said, “bless you!”.

  I would have just said thank you and moved on. I always did the same thing when someone wished me a merry Christmas or some kind of holiday greeting. People don't need a lecture on why you think your way of thinking is better than theirs. Or care.

  If My Dad Were To See The Watchtower Org Now

  as we all know, this org has metamorphosized from one ugly creature to another continuously since it's inception.

  but more so it seems in the last 30 years.. i got to thinking what my dad would think if he were to be brought to life for 5 mins to see the way things are now.

  how would he even react?.

  Everyone's offended by everything! What a stupid world we live in. I go to nonstop HR meetings at my work discussing what we can and can not say or do. It's getting to the point where no one can say anything without having their job threatened.

  some will stay and suffer just to be with family.

  i feel sad for those who stay just to please the family.

  show wanted to know if he's going to the kingdom hall.

  she asked him to write a letter for her to give to his mother ( who's deceased) in the paradise explaining why he didn't make it.

  Thanks for everyone's comments. It does just boggle my mind how some people have the balls to even say something like that to someone thinking that it will make the person go back to the Kingdom Hall.

  A brother who is not baptized ( so there's still hope for him ) had a sister recently run into him at a store. Show wanted to know if he's going to the Kingdom Hall. He said no. She asked him to write a letter for her to give to his mother ( who's deceased) in the paradise explaining why he didn't make it. He said he told her that the former things won't be called to mind, so she wouldn't remember him. She just looked at him and smiled and walked away. Very presumptuous on her part if you ask me.

  What immodest clothing have you got in trouble for wearing?

  i personally have a very distinct sense of style and fashion which many of the fellow jdubs frown upon.

  recently, i was told by a few specially self righteous ones that i looked like a prostitute in a pair of white boots!

  a pair of 3 inch heeled, just a little taller than the ankle boots, with skirt that came down to my knees and a black long sleeve shirt that came up to my collarbone.

  This was in the early 80's. I came to the meeting straight from work and still had on my work uniform. Blue pants and a button down shirt. An elder approached me and asked why I was not in a skirt. I explained that I came straight from work and didn't have time to change. He told me I should have just stayed home. My husband and I showed up at the next Sunday meeting in our jeans. He didn't say a word to us. Idiots!

  When my sister was younger she got in a fight with another young girl at the Kingdom Hall. The mother of the girl called my dad at home to complain about it. He ended up telling her that " every monkey loves it's own". All hell broke loose. She accused him of calling her daughter a monkey. He spent the next 10 minutes trying to explain to her that it wasn't a racist thing. People just need something to bitch about!
