I was born and raised as a JW. I was disfellowshiped in 1978. I was reinstated and subsequently re-disfellowshiped in 1981. My family tries to pressure me into "coming back into the truth" and has for all of my life. I recently joined a First United Methodist Church. First time that I have attended a church other than going to the Kingdom Hall. It has taken me 25 years to finally get to the point that I don't feel guilty for attending church.
