WTS Recognizes that Millions have Left the Faith

at the portland maine district convention that was held this past weekend, brother buck from brooklyn bethel gave the last talk on sunday.

in this talk he mentioned the "millions of people that have left" in the recent past.

he also mentioned them in the concluding prayer.

I'll never forget the concluding prayer at a district convention I attended a few years ago. The bethel guy prayed that we would not fall away as so many had, and become carcasses strewn along the road to everlasting life. It was one of those moments where you look up in the middle of a prayer, glance around at the hundreds of people and think, "What in the f**k am I still doing with these lunatics?!"

I'm telling lies from the stage

i recently gave a public talk, and i really felt bad about it.. it was the public talk about the great flood of noahs days.

the is so much evidence that this great deluge never happened, but that is something you can't tell the audience from the stage.

(i will tell about that evidence if people are interested, but it is a bit off-topic now).

The thing about blood is a bit questionable at least, but most religions have some things like that and mostly worse. It did maybe cost some lives but that is their explanation and everybody making its own decision finally. Anyway a lot of lives are saved on the other hand in the no smoking policy.

This is some interesting reasoning. I know you are new to the board and everything and trying to get out of the wits, so that's good. But you are one hundred percent, absolutely, positively wrong in your view that the org is not so bad. The illusion of unity the GB demands destroys thousands of lives, man. It's plain evil to allow kids to get baptized into an organization without knowing anything of how the doctrines have changed and been formed through history, and the real history of how the Bible was itself compiled. Anyways, the more you research and learn from boards like these your view will undoubtably change. Welcome.

LMAO sweet tee.. I hate the songs too. There are trigger points in everyday life that set them off in my head. I was eating a big mac the other day and saw that Macdonald's has a little slogan on the inside flap that says "Keep your eyes on your fries!" I couldn't get "Keep Your Eyes on the Prize" out of my brain for like two days!
