Is Christmas for Atheists?
by LittleToe ingiven that so many practises associated with christmas are blatantly christian in origin, is christmas truly for atheists?
i know that often there are few christian connotations attributed to it nowadays, in such a secularised society, but history is on record in showing that the whole baby jesus thing and angels singing with their "peace and goodwill" stuff is definitely a christian element.
would any true atheist today want to drink such a mixed cup?

Beginning to not care... again

i'd heard about the un/ngo issue and it raised my eyebrows.

I'm really glad to hear you are getting all your shit together. Losing interest in all this crazy cult garbage is a good thing. I feel the same way about all this Jehovah stuff. My family are out and I don't care about any of my old dub friends. My new ex-dub friends are the reason I'm still here on JWD.
Greatest thing happened to me the other day - I was walking in the mall and saw a dub working at some store. It suddenly hit me that I'm disassociated and considered evil by these people. The absurdity of the whole situation hit me like a ton of bricks and just made me honestly laugh out loud, not in a defiant or supercilious way.. just honest to God laughter. It was so cool. I just dont f*cking care.

I've been out for a bit over a year now, and I truly am over it. I take evolution as a fact, I've done all my research and I truly know in my heart that it's all a huge pile of steaming horse shit. Having said that though I'm still interested in what's happening in Watchtower bubble-world just out of morbid curiousity mostly, and I like to try to help newbs.
