Blues you are so right. Everyone stands for other nation's anthems, which blows the Organisation's reasoning on this matter completely out of the water.

Another Case Of Different Rules For JWs In Different Countries????
by West70 indoes this newspaper article indicate that the watchtower society allows (or allowed) jws in india to stand for that country's national anthem????
half a century later, the supreme court made the same point about tolerance when giving a verdict on the refusal of two children belonging to the sect of the jehovah's witness, who refused to sing the national anthem, jana gana mana, in a kerala school because their religion did not permit saluting a national flag or to sing a national anthem as it did not believe in the nation state.
in its verdict, the court said that as long as the children stood respectfully when the anthem was being played, it was all right.

I believe the official position is that if you are required to stand and sing, then standing without singing is OK. However, if you are only required to stand, then standing is not OK, unless you are already standing, in which case you are not obligated to sit but may remain standing. Next, we will discuss how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.

I understand that the light dims when he comes into a room, there's the sound of distant chanting and the smell of death, his eyes glow with an eerie green light and fluorescent liquid drips from his fangs. Strong men have been known to faint at the sight of him.

how many of you have armed themselves?
by buffalosrfree ini recently bought a high powered rifle and am presently buying a pistol for back-up.
i have a cross bow, a compound bow, and several swords and knives, in fact i have been collecting knives for some time and have learned how to use them in defending myself and in taking the initiative in learning to defend myself.
i am quite versed in using both the croww bow and the compound bow, it seems the goverment doesn't want to defend us and just wants to unarm us.

For home defense the best thing you can do is buy a dog that barks and back it up with a shotgun, number four buck is the answer. So advise my police friends, who also say if they come past the dog don't even hesitate.

What Happens When A Bethelite Questions the Governing Body
by VM44 ini found this personal experience at the freeminds website.
it shows that if a bethel worker asks too many questions they will be asked to leave!.
so if anyone here is currently working at bethel and wants to leave before their time is up, just start asking questions!

The Cuban medical system is so great that people are sailing out of Miami in small leaking boats and on homemade rafts so they can get to Havana and enjoy the wonders of Castros paradise.

I've had health care under both systems, including surgery, and I'll take the US system. Anyone that thinks ordinary Cubans get good medical care is a benighted fool. I know Cubans, ex-Cubans, and people with relatives in Cuba and the whole "wonderful healthcare" deal is a propaganda fairy tale.

A lot of COs end up making 60-70,000 dollars a year, which is not bad considering what they do.

JW and Home Schooling WHY, WHY, WHY????????
by Wordly Andre ini just heard that my nephew will not be attending high school, instead will be doing home schooling, why do jws pressure their kids into home schooling?
i really do love my nephew he is a bright kid, i think he would do really great in high school, and hopefully attend college, but i was informed yesterday that he will not be going to high school because its not safe, and besides he made the decision not to go.
i am sorry but he should go, i know what they got planned for him, home school and full time service, this is the time of his life where he needs to concentrate on his education, he will end up just like his mother, who also never attended high school, seems that when your totally lost into the society, covering all aspects of your life, that leaves you socially inept, depressed, and have a distorted view of the world.

The home schooling thing seems to have a geographic component, some areas are very gung ho on the idea and others don't do it at all. The Org's position on home schooling is actually pretty negative because the home schoolers are missing out on the opportunity to preach to their own "special field." My personal opinion is the most Witness parents that want to home school do it simply because they do not want to deal with the issues associated with public schooling. The best home schooling I've seen, with one exception, was mediocre. The exception had a father with a doctorate and a mother with a teaching certificate.
