a jw told me today that mazda miatas are the car of choice for gay men, and subarus are very popular among lesbians.

i asked him how many gay and lesbian folks he actually knew, and what the source for his information was.

he admitted that he didn't know any gays or lesbians, but that "a friend who works in an auto shop" had told him.

I have lost all desire to study the bible... This sucks...

i just feel that the bible was put in place so that people can use it for guidelines and so forth.

i don't think that you have to know everything to be accepted by god.... the only problem is, is that i no longer study with my husband either.

now, he's not seeing the truth for what it is and starting to revert back to jw land... but, just the thought of studying anymore makes me sick... it's just, when you study so much after awhile you just can't take it anymore... i would like to actually enjoy my life a little bit.... i'm sick of trying to prove my viewpoint.

Yeah I am kinda there too. I have not opened my bible in at least a year. I know the scriptures pretty well and they have taught me a lot on what kind of person I should be, so now I think it is time for me to spend time on me getting those little pesky things that I do that maybe God might be a little upset about, ya know like smoking them damn Cigs.

Got a bad mouth when it comes to language but we can never expect ourselves to be perfect as we all know that's just the way people are, Imperfect ! I figure the bible to be like a study book we had in school, we read it, we studied it and sometimes tore them apart when it come to learning from it. Then after we could say we had a knowledge of it, I am one who does not believe that if you read every single word in the bible and that if you read it twice you get different understandings etc. whatever !

I think that most of us here have a pretty good understanding of the scriptures as we all come from that kind of a faith or an understanding.

But here's where it really counts anyways, it is not so much of what we get from reading the bible or how often. It is what we have in our hearts that counts, I think that if we have the Christ in our hearts then we have the God, and the Spirit AND the Bibles words.

Awhile back I had a discussion with a mormon that they were a predjudiced religion and they said they were not. Well here is a little proof. They had said that blacks could now be baptised but could not hold the priesthood. When I was in the mormon church a black person could not be baptised at all. The chart above says that only 3 % are black in the USA. Not very good ratings if your asking someone if they are racial don't you think ?

bush: im focused on gas prices but unaware of $4 gas.during his press conference today, a reporter asked president bush what his advice would be to the average american who is facing the prospect of $4 a gallon gasoline.

bush replied, thats interesting, i hadnt heard that.

yet a few minutes later, bush wouldnt answer a question regarding donations for his presidential library because, he claimed, i, frankly, have been focused elsewhere, like on gasoline prices.

I sometimes think that Bush wants the prices so high. He and his buddies make a lot of dough off high gas prices.

Amen sister, that's where it is all laying right now, what he is doing is setting up his fat retirement and doing so by screwing every low and middle-class Americans. This is why the man is in Iraq ! He is a liar and a very poor one you must admit and he is as devious as the devil himself. Lord knows I ain't perfect but I sure would not want to be in his shoes come judgement day ! That's all I can say !

ARE YOU PRO-UNION OR ANTI-UNION?

would you rather work in a unionized or non-unionized environment?

the place where i work recently voted 'no', we don't want a union in here (after being harassed by a very large union for the last 5 years).

there were some who voted 'yes', but the majority of us voted 'no' and those that were pro-union are quite pissed off that the rest of us 'fail to see the light'.
