Stew meat - room temp - 12 hours - is it safe? Your opinion wanted...
by confusedjw inso stew meat was taken out last evening at approx 6:30pm and was left out until 7 am.
it was laid face down on the metal stove so it thawed fairly quickly, leaving it at room temp for many hours.
so at 7am this morning, it was put in the refridgerator and then at 9:30am taken out to be cooked for a stew.. .

What would you have done?
by defd inwhat would you have done back in the 1st century when jesus came on the earthly stage and started christianity.
would you have became his follower?
how about after he left the earth and christianity began to spread by means of the apostles, would you have been involved in the many congregations that were started throughout the area?

Hibie,
Certainly not to a kingdom hall or a mormon temple. I take my troubles to Christ. Jesus is my answer to all of life. What about you ?

def'd,
I can see that you are blinded by the society terribly, and until you can see the true light in Christ you will never have that understanding of real truth. It is sad but if you are so dead in the head then I personally think that you should run back to your kingdom hall so you can be safe since you obviously believe that that is where your security is. You put your faith in your organisation rather than in Christ. Until you relax your brainwashed mind you will never get it. I feel sorry for you and people like you because it shows that you and others like you are weak in the mind and do not put your faith in the one who deserves faith rather that you believe everything your society tells you to believe.
You have been plainly shown here and in many other post the difference in scripture and your bible which has been indeed changed to fit your doctrine, people here have been kind to you and faithful in teaching you where the societies errs are but yet you still argue. Is it that you are seeing the real truth but affraid to except because of what the society will do to you. Remember what scripture says about fear in man or God ? It says do not fear from what man can do to you, they may be able to kill the body but they cannot kill the spirit. Only God can do that, so the only piece of advice here is you need to stop being affraid of what the society can do toyou but fear the true God because he is the judge of life and death.

First I have noticed that JW's put religion where faith is. The scriptures states that there is one faith, one baptisum. Not one religion and one baptisum. The faith that Jesus was teaching was a faith in him and not a organisation.
Personally if I were there in Christ time I would have followed him as my faith in Christ Jesus is pure and strong. If I could of only touched his clothing I would of been healed. If I had not seen Jesus and knew one of the Apostles I would of follwed them too. The New Testament is about Christ and not about a religion, never once in the scriptures does it say to follow religion but only and only through Christ can we gain entry to eternal life.

Okay you guys you got me rolling on the floor here, some real quirks. I guess I have a few too. I don't like spiders and if I know there is one on the floor I guarantee you will see a dance like no other. I also don't touch public bathroom door knobs with my hands I always use a paper towel. I am very organized in my home, everything has it's place and if it gets out of order I will notice it right away and fix it.

Husbands! Smack your wife across the mouth!
by PopeOfEruke ingreat advice received from a close jw relative who we visited last week.
she said that husbands are the head of the family, and if the wife doesn't support him in serving jehovah then he should give her a good smack across the mouth, thats what she deserves.
if only adam had given eve a good smack across the mouth when she proposed eating the fruit, we wouldn't be in the mess we are in now!

That sounds like it was a trick to get him arrested for domestic abuse.
I would never hit a woman under any circumstance and sure would not hit a man unless he was trying to harm me or my family.
That is disgusting, and I hate violence.

Should You Believe In The Trinity? - Maybe
by dontomas inhi folks.
i am new to this board and since i am currently undergoing bible study with a jw elder, thought it would be a good idea to expose myself to other viewpoints on what i am learning from him.. a while ago i read "should you believe in the trininty".
having had a barely adequate education, i knew a lot of the names of the father's cited therein but had never really read anything they wrote.
