  We're All Imperfect & Sinners - Where Have I Heard This?

  our oldest son goes to a christian school and we have had a few problems since the beginning of the year.. the latest being someone in the parking lot scraoed my new truck.

  they left their paint over my rear passenger wheel well.

  they didn't leave a note or anything...just drove off.

  The witnesses use this one when they are judged by the world, but some how seem to bypass this law when they judge others. On a more critical point they have judged us in the fact that we are all going to hell but themselves. But what does the bible say about judging others ? That they will also be judged in the same manner as others whom they judge. So if a witness say's you are all going to hell because you do not believe the same as us, they just sent themselves into hell .

  My youngest brother died in 95 from cancer, he had the type that reoccured. The main reason for his death was his veins collapsed and I believe that was caused from not excepting blood. He was not a baptised witness but he believed in their doctrine and followed their laws or at least most of them. Although my mother will not say so but I believe this is why he died.

  it may never happen, i believe the best that can be hoped for is to pull some people out of it.

  no matter what is found out, no matter how big the screw up or lawsuit or lie that is uncovered, there will always be some who believe.

  selling hope is a big business, and some people want hope way more than they want truth.. the blood expose', however, is great in that it gets more information out there to a large audience, which will eventually cause the wts to go into damage control mode, changing policies again.

  I don't think this is possible, if the wtbs was shut down then all the other cult faiths would have to crumble. I think God will eventually do it in his own time.

  Birthday celebrations and customs - Are they for Christians?

  i sent my birthday document (http://thebentinel.com/jw-birthdays.html) to a poster here that is at the very least a jw-sympathizer, if not a full-blown jw.

  the response i got back indicated that my reasoning on it was seriously flawed and essentially any idiot with a passing knowledge of scripture and history can tell that birthdays are not something christians should celebrate.. of course, if you're not a bible-believer or a god-believer, you couldn't care less about pagan origins and all that.

  but let's keep this conversation on the 'appropriate for christians' vein.

  I really don't know about celebrating any holidays as far as that goes, but I will say this. The witnesses use the fact that holidays are pagan and that is why they do not celebrate. But is it not true that the wedding ring, calendars, winchimes etc are all started by the pagans but yet the witnesses still use them. So how is it that they can separate any of the pagan traditions and say it is ok to use some but not all ? That is just part of their hyprocrasy.

  I have not celebrated my birthday in years, it usually falls on a weekday and I am just too damn tired to give a crap about being another year older. besides noone in my life really gives a crap either as I have not recieved a birthday gift in atleast 15 or 20 years.....

  it is alleged that santa was an invention of cola cola back in the 1930s.. due to the pagan connection,should jws drink cola cola?

  Wait a minute here, I thought that witnesses used to celebrate christmas, now they say that santa is a symbol of satan ? Granted I never told my children that there was a santa because I remember when I was a child about 7 years old when i learned santa was a lie.

  Now what about the pepsi company ? it is owned by the Mormons so should they stop drinking pepsi because it is owned by their cult enemy ? I remember when the Mormons were getting ready to purchase the company, two weeks before the deal was set they came out with new prophecy that their members could now drink caffinated drinks.

  I know of a couple of Mormons who walked out when they heard this new prophecy and then made the buy. Sounds like these two cults operate the same. WE HAVE NEW LIGHT !!!!!!

  I like that idea then they can have their own doctors who will not give blood to anyone. Can you imagine the death toll coming out of a hospital like that ? Maybe thats just exactly why they don't have a hospital of their own, because they know that through their blood policies they would end up with major malpractice law suits.

  i am extremely disappointed to read some people's comments about the latest news.

  it is one thing to express and opinion, perhaps that you think it isn't as big as you imagined (one wonders what you imagined) but it is another to be downright insulting to people who have put a lot of time and effort into this.. get real.

  Almostathiest,

  There is one difference about churches and their charities. Other churches donate to all people of all faiths, but the watchtower only donates to themselves. To me that is selfish, greedy, and most conceided.
