I dont think the Dubs hold the monopoly on being a few sandwiches short of a picnic at times ..we allow ourselves to be duped into believing only the best about the people or organisations we belong to , giving them the benefit of the doubt rather than facing hard truths that may result in heartache ...it's called being human ;-)

The WTS registering as an NGO with the UN was not a great secret...
I remember being at a circuit assembly many years ago and an announcement being read out to the entire assembly regarding the registration.
No one thought anything of it at the time as it was explianed that it would benefit the org with research ...
Seems it has all gotten way out of hand , anyways ...it's all old hat now and to keep on about it is like flogging a dead horse!

While not a JW apologist, I doubt that the letter was written by a Witness in "good standing", my bet judging by the style and phraseology in the content of the letter , is that it has been purposefully written with a particular agenda in mind...
If my suspicions are correct then the person who has written the letter does his/her cause a great diservice...

The WTS has a correct understanding with regard to certain elements of who comprise the FDS.
Many Christain churches teach , that this parable is applicable to each individual christian baptised in holy spirit, just as they believe that all born again believers serve as "priests" while still on earth 1 Peter 2:9.These roles are not limited to just 144000 as the WTS teaches.
In practice the WTS only officially recognises the 13 or more men who are situated in Brooklyn as FDS. They do not take into consideration the input or opinions of any other members who profess anointing, although their theology states differently.

Special meeting March 7
by Samuel Thorsen inmy mother told me today that its going to be held a special meeting in all congregations worldwide at march 7.. .
some new information is going to be released, and its very very secret indeed.
we are not supposed to tell anyone what we heard at this meeting to the ones who have the meeting later the same week.

Blood taking...is it a disfellowshipping offence or up to conscience.
by Gill incan you tell me whether the taking of blood is a conscience matter or a disfellowshipping matter?.
i ask this because i have just come away from a heated discussion with my parents and they insist that taking blood or blood products has always been a matter of conscience and no one has ever been disfellowshipped for taking blood.
they say that a question was raised at the service meeting over the new blood card/documents whether taking blood fractions was breaking gods law and the presiding overseer j.h said that taking blood has always been a conscience matter and never was anyone disfellowshipped for it.. is this true?
