SERVICE REPORT 2005 : WATCHTOWER FEB 1ST 2006
by BluesBrother ini have had a quick look and found no references to this, so - here goes..as in the mag we picked up on sunday.. worldwide % increase over 2004 = 1.3%.
memorial partakers 8524 (compared to 8570 in 2004).
most european and nth american lands show pretty static figs - britain 1% increase, canada 0%, germany 0%, france 1%, usa 0%... but spare a thought for the inhabitants of zambia where 1 person in 90 is a reporting witness, must be hell going down to the local market!

What hope does the WTBS hold out for an infant or child that was born to anointed parents years before 1935, when there was apparently only the heavenly hope ...is the kid raised to heavenly life to rule as a king/queen or become an orphan in the new earth?

Watchtower Aug. 15, 1968 says to ignore Jesus about tthe time of the end..
by AloneinOh intalking about 1975 and the push by the society got me to looking at some older quotes.
this one here really bugged me and still pisses me off when i read it.
in this instance they are telling you to forget about jesus and listen to the society.

I dont think the Dubs hold the monopoly on being a few sandwiches short of a picnic at times ..we allow ourselves to be duped into believing only the best about the people or organisations we belong to , giving them the benefit of the doubt rather than facing hard truths that may result in heartache ...it's called being human ;-)

The WTS registering as an NGO with the UN was not a great secret...
I remember being at a circuit assembly many years ago and an announcement being read out to the entire assembly regarding the registration.
No one thought anything of it at the time as it was explianed that it would benefit the org with research ...
Seems it has all gotten way out of hand , anyways ...it's all old hat now and to keep on about it is like flogging a dead horse!

While not a JW apologist, I doubt that the letter was written by a Witness in "good standing", my bet judging by the style and phraseology in the content of the letter , is that it has been purposefully written with a particular agenda in mind...
If my suspicions are correct then the person who has written the letter does his/her cause a great diservice...

CO's do get paid as they serve as full time ministers within the organisation, it is not a great deal of money and is more of a living allowance...

ACTS 20:28
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
Then to each individual member in the church the responsibility to feed one another:

The Holy Spirit gives each member in the congregation different gifts as he sees fit, to be used in communal upbuilding and spiritual feeding of the entire body of believers:
1 Cor 12:7-11
To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another he gives the gift of special knowledge. 9 The Spirit gives special faith to another, and to someone else he gives the power to heal the sick. 10 He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and to another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to know whether it is really the Spirit of God or another spirit that is speaking. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages,* and another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. 11 It is the one and only Holy Spirit who distributes these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.
Verse 12 12 The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up only one body. So it is with the body of Christ. 13 Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into Christ's body by one Spirit, and we have all received the same Spirit.*

The WTS has a correct understanding with regard to certain elements of who comprise the FDS.
Many Christain churches teach , that this parable is applicable to each individual christian baptised in holy spirit, just as they believe that all born again believers serve as "priests" while still on earth 1 Peter 2:9.These roles are not limited to just 144000 as the WTS teaches.
In practice the WTS only officially recognises the 13 or more men who are situated in Brooklyn as FDS. They do not take into consideration the input or opinions of any other members who profess anointing, although their theology states differently.
