  the commission is basically asking if women can sit on the hearing portion of the jc to determine guilt or innocence and then men only can determine punishment when the women leave the room.

  jackson said they need to consider and check the scriptures; the possibility of considering that is there.

  da judge is getting frustrated with jackson's squirrellyness over women being on committees to judge even if not on the part of the committee to determine punishment.

  jackson is answering clear and understandable. much more prepared than previous witnesses on the stand. doesn't mean that he has the right answers but you can tell he believes them....imho

  he's being asked if the branch commitee can have a woman sit on judicial committees where abuse has been alleged. Jackson said he hopes the branch would make their recommendations to the governing body so it could be reviewed. Jackson says it is possible for different branch committees to have different judicial committee procedures - maybe even having women on them in certain cases?

  the judge asking about biblical imediment to a woman being involved in the investigation.

  jackson says women will never be elders. he says bible makes that clear from adam, to israelites to jesus time. Da judge asks if that is because of a literal translation of the bible? why not subject to change. I guess like why the bible talks about corporal punishment but WTS says they don't agree with that.....(oh right...)

  booom! da judge lays down the hammer on jackson over interpretation of scriptures and whether the gb have to follow the bible strictly as understood at the time it was written. The bible says corporal punishment is ok but the gb are saying that it isn't ok. jackson says the wts doesn't accept corporal punishment... CRAP!!
