I don't think they'd go into that much detail. They may ask but wouldn't really expect a detailed answer unless you have gone further than holding hands and have something to confess to them. Then they will be very interested.

Seriously, Sir82 said, read and reread what you're posting and ask yourself if this is how you want to live the rest of your life. And don't think this type of control stops once you're married...oh no...just think of the WT rules you need to follow in your bedroom.

She will probably be counseled not to see you anymore until you have been baptized a year. If she doesn't follow this direction she will probably lose her pioneering privileges and possibly be marked. Another poster already explained marking.

As for you, since you are not baptized not much will happen. You will get friendly counsel to let her be until you are baptized and have made the truth your own.

Please read jwfacts.com to make sure you know exactly what becoming a witness really means. You sound like a really sincere person and I would hate to see you get deeper and deeper into a religion that has so much control over your personal life. Take some time and read a few life experiences of some of the posters here.

we have been waiting about a year for this, my dfd husbands family asked us for money.

even though his own father hasn't met our 8 month old son.

I'm sorry to hear about all the drama you have to deal with. You would think that being disfellowshipped and completely ignored by your family you would at least be sheltered from the drama. But, it's not so.

I think it's kind of you and your husband to consider loaning them money, especially after the way they've treated you and your son. There must be a lot of pressure that not giving them the money they need will make them view you even worse than they do already. That sucks. My fear would be that giving them the money won't change how they feel about you even one iota and that once you do it this time you have set the precedent and you will be doing it again, even if you right now you say it's a one time thing.

my dog and other pets do their "business" and run away and are happy.. man does not have that luxury.

any thoughts on why animals were created with the "poop and go" capacity while man has to go through more steps?

was this perhaps an additional issue that god added on when adam and eve sinned (such as eve having significant more birth pains)?

I wish there was a way someone could sue the WTS over something like this.

Conan, you've gotten a lot of good advice from the forum. It's always nice to be able to share with others. I hope things work out well for you. I was also thinking that if you want to learn about Jesus you may be able to locate a nice non-denominational church near where you live. They often have weekly bible study lessons which aren't nearly as pushy or take-it-or-leave-it as the witnesses are. Plus you can come and go and use any available outside study materials you want - usually. Anyway, I wish you the best on your journey.

Had a operation today and was asked about blood transfusions.

operation was successful only minor but some interesting information was revealed to me from the surgeon.l requested that they treat me as if l was a jehovahs witness with regards to blood transfusions.the doctor said well that varies from jw to jw and l asked what do you mean?his response was that in his dealings with jw's was that approx half of witnesses will accept a blood transfusion in life threatening circumstances and sign a form saying so.l was blown away when he told me this.l was curious if others in here have heard similar storys.lt seems to me that many witnesses have weakened their stance on this controversial subject.

Yeah I guess you're right OC. I just fell back on my old thinking which was the doctors would be more careful if they couldn't use blood. But, you're right it is unfair to assume that just because a doctor can use blood that they would play fast and loose with your life.

However, I would be willing to also agree that in specific circumstances with specific doctors that this could be true.

I did decide in my case to never mention the JW thing since I don't want my doctor worrying about anything other than my health and not what he/she can or cannot do.
