"But WHY would you want to know those things??"
by stuckinarut2 ini ran into an older sister who has always been very sweet.. it was a friendly chat...yet she pushed for a reason why my family have been missing from meetings for some time.
the question was deflected, until it just had to be said: "well, there have been some troubling and disturbing issues about the society especially the way things were handled during the royal commission, as well as many other issues".. she quickly cut in and said "but why would you want to know these things?
its best not to research and look at those sort of things - so we don't get upset!".

The old "even if it isn't the truth...." bullcrap. I spouted it myself years ago. In my opinion you can only say that and mean it when you totally believe it's the truth or are trying to convince yourself it's the truth. Once you know it's all crap that statement just doesn't ring true. -

Memorial Audience Filled with Unbelieving Mates and Other Miserable Relatives
by xjwsrock ini looked around my hall and saw so many miserable unbelieving mates and relatives it was actually funny.
they were in a glazed-over stupor.
they looked liked children forced to go to an opera.

Wouldn't a bunker be proof that they don't trust in J? I find it hard to believe that they'd create bunkers. That's not their style. -

How much do you think GB enjoy their lives?
by elbib inmany who have watched the gb know that they seem to be desperate to be admired, to be looked up to…….
now the question arises—do they really enjoy their lives?
does their superiority complex make them feel good?.

They live the good life. If they are true believers they have no fear of death and in the meantime they are at the top of the heap and everyone listens to every word they say. The only downside could be if they are humble, which I don't actually think they are, they may be burdened with concern for the rank and file witnesses and the tough life most of them live. -

A few days ago my kids and I discussed the memorial. My kids said I looked like a kidnap victim and laughed at me. I said they did too and laughed at them. Then we all laughed together at the absurdity of the entire evening.....My wife has no idea what we were laughing about.
It feels good to have saved my kids. I worked hard and sacrificed a lot to try and save them.

I wonder how many Indian witnesses there are in the US. I wonder if the WTS will send a similar letter to the elders in other industrialized nations as well.
