Mike and Kim updated thier Numbers and it looks like the Borg is watching.
by Crazyguy inthier latest video they seemed to fix thier number issues and have made it look as though the borg only has about a half a million member now in the us.
also it looks as though the borg is watching because the borg has now made an adjustment on their website concerning their missing kh.

A Little Direction Please
by Brian J ini'm an active elder, cobe, just got home from the meeting where i handled the treasures part and concluded by announcing a friend of mine has been d/f,.....blah blah blah...and over the last year have woken up.
i simply cannot spill my guts to my wife and children as it would be family suicide.
i have zero desire to bash, spread my feelings, or become an "apostate".

Good luck guys. I'm glad you posted here because there is so much support.
I stepped aside, my wife is still in but all my kids are free.

Being a jobo. It's not the same as it was.
by punkofnice ini've been hearing this from what i'd call 'dyed in the wool' type jobos.. 'it's not the same as it was a few years ago.....'.
i believe from what comes back to me via my spies -.
the dyed in the woolers are referring to how the gb are now blatantly pontificating threateningly it seems, about wanting money even from children, all the time.

I don't post much these days and I don't hear much about the dubs either. But, my wife's relatives were in town last weekend and I overheard a few conversations they had. They really don't say anything too bad in front of me so if it's negative I probably overheard it from another room.
The relatives are in their 80s.
They love the cart witnessing because it's easy. Don't like that no one stops to talk and they can't discuss bible verses with householders. They really don't like that the young pioneers are doing cart work when they feel they need the cart work because they can't get around as well as they used to. In their mind young ones should be doing door to door and older ones should be doing cart work.
Frustrated by the technology that the society has them using. They like the idea of the technology and how modern and fresh it all feels (their words) but don't really understand how to use it and keep running out of memory and losing files. They said that half their congregation has to rely on one younger brother to keep helping them with their ipads and phones.
They love the videos that are shown at the conventions but really miss the live action dramas with the costumes and overacting.
The comment that stood out to me was when one of them said that the society just doesn't feel the same, oh it's great and everything is perfect but it's so different now.
Not related but several congregations in their area were consolidated recently and they are happy to have their KH filled with some more people, apparently the attendance was really low before the merge.
I also heard that there was some congregation shuffling and merging in my area too.

2017 Convention Video To Be Shown Regarding The 1975 Failure
by pale.emperor inhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=go3arnnsfkk&feature=youtu.be.
no mention whatsoever that it was watchtower themselves that strongly hinted towards this date.
instead they blame those who "put their trust in a date, not jehovah".. let's recap... .

OrphanCrow just what I was thinking. Yes, grandpa endured his wife dying and that is bad but the endurance through armageddon hype is ridiculous and demeans the real emotion attached to his wife's passing.
I feel like the acting in most of their videos is alright but every so often one comes along that is creepy. The bunker videos were creepy and so is this one. The acting is stiff or stilted or something like that. It doesn't sound or look natural.

TV commercial seen in the United States, from a Law firm "Asking if you were ever sexually abused by JEHOVAHS WITNESSES, please call".
by Dunedain inok, so i don't know if this is "old news", and if this has been seen, and or mentioned already.
if it was, i do apologize, but i feel i have to mention what has been seen on tv, within the past 24 hours.. first off, i would like to say that i did not personally see this commercial.
however, it was seen by someone that i can verify 100% is telling the truth, as it was my own father who saw it.

My whole family saw the tv commercial on a news channel over the weekend. Blew my mind! No response from the dubs in the room.

My Dad wants to study with me
by BlackWolf inso my parents continue to pester me about getting baptized.
the other day my dad told me that i was old enough to make a decision, and was wondering why i wasn't ready (assembly is in a few weeks) so i told him calmly that i have many doubts and if i were to get baptized it has to be 100 percent my idea.
he was a little annoyed by this, and now wants to study the "is there a creator that cares about you" book (which is complete bs) with me.

Good luck Blackwolf. I really do wish you the best with this. It's a tough situation to be in but it sounds like you're handling it well. My situation was very different but similar too. I am married and had to deal with my wife who is still a JW. She's very normal but while I was fading she also seemed like she had bipolar. I think it has to do with the stress of seeing someone they love so much choosing to turn their back on God and choosing to die (although that is only in their opinion no reality, but perception is reality). My wife and I have come to a peaceful unspoken agreement about my involvement in the witnesses so I hope that you and your parents can do the same. Unfortunately the stress of each situation until that happens can be a lot to bear. Hang in there and keep venting here.
