Sorry...had to go away for awhile. Thanks Ray (& Rip)...it is a good idea but I think she's changed phone #'s...however I bumped into an old friend (non-JW) who said she's going to call her where she works and tell her about her grandmother...we'll see what happens...not holding breath.

Certain people know of the video who know her so she may have seen it, or she may have refused to look at it. The best thing about the video is it made my mother feel better and she knows it's my daughters turn to make a move.

So a woman divorces her husband but he comes back to her home a few years later and rapes her...it's really her fault or at least a portion of it because they had sex together at one time.

I never said we did not have a hand in creating this little monster. We did because we followed JW rules. However I know my mother and father never shunned anyone and they would never have shunned family because we talked about it. My father was a hard-line JW in most respects until 1975 flew by without a wimper. He then started questioning and double checking things.
You know and I know it's not normal to shun family because a cult says so.
The main reason my daughter is so hard core is because her mother is still in the cult and influenced her a great deal, then she married up and coming elder boy.
I gotta go now because someone just hit my car...not gonna turn it into the insurance company though because I remember that I hit a car about 15 years ago...I probably had it coming.

Again, Thank you one and all. She loves having support.
Let me also add that I am not advising that this is to be used in every shunning case...they're all different...but in this case we decided to do this because of what we considered a very mean-spirited attitude. For most of us it was probably very hard to be around someone who left the borg but there was also some feelings for the person because shunning just isn't natural. I do remember a few that were very hard-core, treating the DF/DA'd person with real contempt following the WTBTS hard-line of showing no mercy. This seems to be what my daughter is doing.
Like I said before it will probably have no effect on her whatsoever. But if one "worldly" person sees it and it changes their mind about JDubs being a loving Christian organization, then it has been worth it. Who knows, maybe that "worldly" person could knock some sense into her head too.

Flipper...Thanks. I know you know what it's like. I printed out the responses for her this afternoon and she loved them. She's telling all her nurses to look at the video. Of course as we all know those "worldly" people we were trained to hate have more love and empathy than the dubbs.

Steve2...Slimboyfat pretty much covered how i would respond. However the WTBTS carries most of the responsibility. When my mother and father DA'd they had been good dubbies for over 50 years...morally without reproach...my father an elder...an honorable person who was always asked to be accounts servant, one of the crappiest positions but he always obeyed Mother"...until the molestation scandal and the U.N. fiasco. He could not bear to go along with the borg anymore. So the WTBTS states from the podium and in the mags that these good people should be treated as fornicators, drunkards, idolators, etc. because they had the audacity to DA.
My duped daughter swallows all of their filth as she and her elder hubby climb the ladder and are given convention parts. Like I said before, "we ran out of cheeks to turn."

I'm certain my mom will love all the nice well wishes and thoughts. And Steve2, you are right...it won't change my daughter probably...but it just got to a point where she has been so mean spirited to my parents, her brother and myself that I felt that we had to do something to take a stand rather than continue taking a beating. We literally ran out of cheeks to turn. My mom loved doing it...maybe I can get her on Letterman..lol.
