Statistical Analysis re Leaving Cults
by Ray Skyhorse indoes anyone know where i can locate any studies that provide a statistical analysis of the demographics of persons that have exited cults?
basically, i'm interested in seeing demographic breakdowns that answer the following questions:.
are women more likely to leave cults or are men?

jimbob and Gumby...you said a mouthful. I used to have this "friend" who was an elder. He would discuss private, congregational/committee matters with other elders on the phone behind closed doors at his home. Problem was, this guy was in the construction trade and half-deaf. His good little Dubbie wife confided to my wife (now EX) that she could hear everything he talked about by just standing outside the door. She would always call my good little Dubbie wife with the juiciest detailed gossip you ever heard. She always knew who was getting DF'd (and why) before it was announced. Funny thing, in my final letter to the New York Headquarters where I outlined the problems that were going on, I mentioned this too..and yes you guessed it, the reply from the illustrious Service Gestapo was to completely ignore any of the problems I mentioned. Oh but they did ask that any problems that I was having would not keep me from attending meetings. They are sooo wise.

Hi Tammy....I think any well thought-out, informed letter to the editor is great. The Dubbies hate any kind of negative press. My parents and myself have been keeping the local newspaper full of it lately. I'll post it all soon. It started with my poster campaign which resulted in a very uninformed JW woman who called my posters lies in a letter to the editor. This caused me to write a response to her in the paper making her look rather foolish and it got the SL website out there. Then my parents, 51-year members DA'd and wrote a letter about shunning, including the fact that their loving JW grandaughter would not invite them to her wedding reception. It's been a busy time. I think we need to be very active in our anti-WatchPower campaign. I personally am going to write short, concise letters outlining certain issues (UN, Molestation,Rand, Etc.) and some doctrine things for people to ask Dubbies. I'm going to give these letters to the churches for their bulletin boards. We need to educate the "heathens" that the Dubs call on. After they get certain stuff shoved in their faces enough times, it is not only demoralizing, it may make a couple stop, think and check out the facts....stranger things have happened. By the way, I offered my posters to several churches for their boards and they eagerly accpted them.

Witness Celebrities

I have it from a good informant that Elvis was sitting on the throne, reading the Awake! article, "Bran - A Good Source For Regularity?". My source, a crime scene investigator, said that the apparently thought-provoking article caused so much strain it was too much for his heart. Elvis was also a fervent reader of Watching The World too. So sad...just a sign of the times we all live in. Won't it be wonderful when Gawd kills the evil ones and brings lawn order to us all?

Just like the Watchtower Bastard and Trash Society...they cause many of the single-parent families, including mine, and then lament world conditions. I am so glad they're going to give me my free copy. I'll collect as many as I can so I won't have to stock up on toilet paper for awhile. Call me paranoid or whatever but you know what this sounds like...a feeble attempt to boost their image as far as community involvement. Remember, Georgie Junior is getting ready to hand over a bunch 'o buck$ to the churches to help out with the homeless, etc., situation. Wouldn't this look good to the government agencies handing it out? The WTBS does not do anything out of altruistic tendencies...There is ALWAYS have an alterior motive!
