Showed Spouse A Quote In the Bound Volume

as part of family worship last night, i pulled out the bound volumes i have been harvesting from different sources lately and showed my spouse the following quote:.

awake!1969 may 22 p.15 .

"if you are a young person, you also need to face the fact that you will never grow old in this present system of things.

I was born in 1969. I was always told that I wasn't even supposed to start kindergaten.I am surprised that my mother hasn't gotten a talking to, because she always said I wasn't to start school.

this is positive, optimistic, fascinating stuff about visionary science and technology.

they offer short presentations, often just 14 -20 minutes long.. vastly superior to anything you will hear in the mid week meetings/public talks/watchtower study/all assembly parts.. you can also pick it up on an internet streaming gadget into your tv as a separate channel.. wonderful stuff.. metatron.

What Can We Do to Show How We Cared about Oompa?

i know others have posted on the original thread.

several people, including myself, would like to do something concrete to show our concerns re: his treatment by the jw, and how important he was to all of us here.

i suggested a handwritten note, on behalf of the whole community here, flowers, and perhaps a donation to a charity that helps people get back on their feet.

anyone know the current wt teachings on the length of time humans have been in existence?

do they still teach that the first man and woman were created approximately 6,000 years ago?

have they made any comments on archeological findings that show paleo-indians living in the america's 10,000+ years ago?

Yep last I heard it 6000 years ago. And the scientists that say people were alive longer ago than that are being taught by satan the deebil.

I don't care per say about losing her friendship. I'm more pissed that she took my pure intentions ( this time) as trying to get her out of the jws. And how she would be so unloving toward her brother if she had the chance.

I JUST HATE THEM AND THEIR DUMB POLICIES and I WANT OOMPA BACK!!!
