The Writing Department's use of "Exclamation Points". Anybody else find their use cheesy? Or motivating possibly?
by miseryloveselders insomething i've been meaning to ask for a while since coming here, is wsup with the writing department's use of exclamation points?
i'm no literature buff or anything, but to me personally, the exclamation points cheapen whatever they're trying to get across.
here's some examples from the new jeremiah book.. how thankful we can be for the teaching done by christian shepherds!.

My Daughter Just Graduated From College!
by GoingGoingGone inshe was about 13 or 14 when i first started having serious doubts about the wts.
when i informed her of my doubts a couple years later, she took the information and ran with it.... she never looked back.
i told her she could be whatever she wanted to be if she only worked hard enough.

LOL @ nathan
OMG! Bethel " meatloaf" is TED! Meat in due season!
Now you know about blood and how its considered cannibalism. Maybe its ok if they eat Ted in smaller fractions.
I hope that Ray is kicking Ted's ass in the afterlife.
I have never sent a sympathy card to someone I didn't know until Ray Franz' death, is when that changed... I won't be sending one out for Ted the SOB.

Yes Vampires are fictional, but so are smurfs and the JW's had strong opinions about those.

I am surprised as well. Not that I want people to die, but the WBTS has sure messed up some lives to the point of snapping.

True RR they do. And even when they toss you to the curb it's hard to get rid of all the baggage they left you with.

This Week's Article - Young People's Baptism
by jgnat inthis is the first study article from the april 15, 2010 watchtower, titled "young people - strengthen your desire to serve jehovah.
" i hit paragraph four and i just had to pause to comment.
i am pretty darn sure this is a softening of the jehovah's witness stance regarding the appropriate age for baptism.

LOL no cage fighter not my dealer. I work with this kid at the hospital. I found out that my daughter is going to go to hsi school next year. I asked him to look out for her since she is going to be a freshman and is afriad of freshman hell week. Then later on I found out he deals drugs, ( I don't think pot is the only kind), but I know for a fact he sells pot.
So now I have to tell my daughter to stay away from him...LOL funny that I need to warn my daughter about associating with a JW...LOL
The youngest I have seen get baptized was 16. But my mother was baptized at age 8 she told me, and that would have been in the late 1930's.
