  The Jehovahs Witness family weekend

  having been out of the organisation for over 4 years and having finally released my kids from the hellish existance that is life as a jw, it struck me today how enjoyable our weekends are in comparison to when we were jw's.. the weekends are vital for us just now.

  my wife doesn't work but i work full time from very early in the morning.

  i don't get to see my beutiful children in the morning during the week.

  I agree I throughly my time now that it isn't taken up with meetings and service.

  things I appreciate most.

  1) I don't have to wear panty hose anymore

  2) I love celebrating my daughters birthday

  3) I can go to college now w/o worrying about missing meetings.

  4) I can do homework on tues and thursday nights. ( homework is way more fun than studying a WT)

  5) I can watch a dvd any night of the week

  6) I can spend more time w/hubby

  7) My daughter doesn't have to miss saturday morning cartoons.

  8) my daughter can wear her halloween costume to school to show the Jw office secretary ( my personal favorite)

  9) now hubby and I can practice unallowed positions on thursday nights instead of giving a presentation on stage at the hall.

  my JW mother didn't bother going to the club she stayed home and got shit faced... everyday and it wasn't birthday, only on one day in november... what was her excuse the other 364 days of the year.

  with everthing ive read here it seems like eeveryone has the attitude that they cant fix the wts.

  why havent you all joined together and made a declaration of independence?

  why not fix it and make a true religion of peace and jesus' message?

  There are too many different ways to interpret the bible, therefore too many definitions of truth. So it would be impossible.

  ie: my hubby thinks I am the most beautiful closest to perfect woman in the world. Would other men think that way no. there wouls have someone different in mind to fir that definition.

  beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

  True religion is in the eye of the believer.

  LOL I like the way you think. I will check into that.

  Wuz, after she moves to CA I doubt she will ever come back to KS. She hates it here. I only moved here to be close to dad.

  5 years ago when i attended my last meeting.

  ever since i started making decisions, instead of waiting on jehovah, things have been happening faster for me, its weird.. all my life i was told just wait on jehovah, wait on him for a husband, wait on him for children, wait on him for a happy life.. well you know what i stopped waiting and i am happy!!!!.

  yes i did get a wonderful husband (who adores my every move) while in the org.
