HELL NO!!!! I think of myself as a very smart person who has found God and the truth! That label does not apply to people who have good sense!

Do you think of yourself as an apostate
by barbar inmany of the people on this site say that they are apostates.
but that is not the way i feel about myself.. i am not angry with the "witnesses" or the organisation, i don't feel that i wasted my life.
i just think that i was stupid to believe it for 30 years (well sort of believe it, i did have severe doubts on and off).

Love for God
Fear of armaggedon
Living forever in the new system
Pressure to stay in from family or friends
Appreciation for Jesus ransom sacrifice
In this order.....at that time anyway....I really didn't understand the importance of what Christ did for us back then...now it's right up there with #1....it's funny how I didn't have a real appreciation for Jesus or develop a personal relationship with God until AFTER I left...so much for their version of the "truth"

YES!!!!
I remember that there was this one sister...(who will remain nameless) who was being treated for anti depression which turned out to be a severe case of schizophrenia....she finally flew over the cuckoo's nest and came to the hall on Sunday and let certain people have it in the middle of a public discourse!!!! She told all of those who she were on her hit list that she will see them at Armageddon! She said some choice words and "comments" before being escorted out of the hall. They had to call her ex husband for assistance in getting her off the premises!!!....It was the wildest thing I have ever experienced at the meetings EVER!!!! Then there was this one time at the book study meeting where this one sister (who will also remain nameless) had hoardes of roaches crawling out her purse and tried to stop them from coming out!!! She looked at us in horror...we looked at her in horror....she eventually excused herself but we were petrified from that "fear factor" moment....those were the days!!!!!

But some are nice - come on admit it.
by eyeslice inbut you have to admit that some are nice caring people.
my wife missed the meeting to night due to flu and a sister who has far more health problems than us phoned to ask after her.
she even asked after me, brother 'long time no see'!

Sydnicated Programming; Who Knew These Shows Were So Hott?
by prophecor ini've been a fan of seinfeld for a few years now, problem is when the show was in its hey day, i never watched it.
not until it's release on syndnicated channels did i become a watcher of it, and only after that did i realize just how great that show was.. watching the show becker with ted danson appears to been a hott show as well, at least in it's begining stages.
much like anything else in life, many good projects have a great start, time however, begins to take it's toll and things just aren't as much fun anymore.. what are some of your favorite syndnicated programs rehashed, sitcoms and otherwise?.

MAKE THE TRUTH YOUR OWN pg 191
The way of the truth is the best way of living
No better way can there be found
Christ Jesus has taught us the value of giving...
That happiness spreads all around
Make the truth your own
To bad ways do not be prone
Putting on the armor God supplies
You make known that the truth is your own.....
We were told to sing this song loud, strong, and proud...I actually like this song....even though it's a bunch of________.....but I guess thats why I remember the first verse like that....but the two memorial theme songs, "The Lords Evening Meal" and "Hail Jehovah's First Born" I know like the back of my hand...I can sing them w/o the book.....scary isn't it....the melodies have NOTHING on pure gospel music....if you wanna know and feel good about God..try it....emotions will soar!!!!
