Not a doubt in my mind that it has. The JW's now are becoming smarter in general to the brainwashing effects of the society. God bless the internet.

God and the Devil are both a bit evil
by Bas ini'd like to think of god and satan as the same power...if you like, god can be evil and the devil can be good.
it probably doesn't make much sense to you but i think as reality is as grey as it is (and not black/white), then probably the higher power(s) are/is too.
i honestly believe that thinking in terms of devil/god is not very fertile thing to do.

the real purpose of field service

you've got people puttin in an average of 10 hours a month, giving away countless publications, and still only converting one or two families every 20 years or so.
this raises an obvious question, "if the door to door ministry doesn't bring in converts why do it?

Funny story. In the last week I have had my Disassociation from the cult announced and taken over as manager at a new place of employment. Both are awesome things!!
Funny part is my first customer this morning was an elder from my former congregation. They walked in and saw me and turned white as ghosts. The elder was so flustered he looked at me and just shook his head and walked out. His wife who was in desperate need of her multi-vitamin kept all talking to the absolute necessitiy. "How much?" I find it funny how immature people can act when brainwashed by the dubs. My boss who was working with me (training me) looked up and said, "What was wrong with them?" He then said, "Those are some of the rudest people I've seen".
When I told him the story he laughed for a good five minutes. The only thing he could say was, "What a bunch of freaks". I had to agree.

I GOT A WONDERFUL REPLY TO MY DA LETTER!!!

this is the response i received just now;"hey babyi got your letter.
i cant write very much now but i just wanted to let you know i received it and i was very moved.

Frog, I just got through reading your letter. I am truly impressed at the way you told your family how you felt. I recently DA'd myself from the witnesses. While my family generally respects my decision, I understand how hard it must be for you to get over the hurt yours has scarred you with.
I'm glad you got a positive response from your sister. Hopefully this can bring you together somehow. I feel for you, and I'll be thinking of you. They just announced my DA at this weeks meeting, and I can tell the backlash is hitting with my parents. They seem far more cold and distant than ever before. Yet, the empowerment it gives people like us who have been abused by a cold and callous religion when we are able to walk away is the best feeling. I hope you find the inner peace you are looking for. Slowly I have started to once again feel that I control my own destiny. I wish you the best.
