  I got back from vacation and had 15 cards waiting for me!!! That was so awesome. I was grinning like a Cheshire cat.

  Accidentally Hit Animals with Cars ? A Problem in Rural areas-Experiences?

  so, hello folks.

  i have wanted to start this thread for sometime because i was curious if it has happened to any of you often.

  in the last 10 years or so it seemed that deer were attracted to my trucks like magnets .

  My cousin was driving through the mountains and had a deer jump down ON TOP of his car.
  
  I almost hit a deer once. It was pretty scary. My husband went out and bought me one of those deer alert whistle things that you put under your bumper and nothing has jumped out in front of me since. You might want to check it out. I think we got ours at Wal-Mart and it was only a few bucks.

  Yesterday, I mailed all the international and the US cards yesterday. I will mail the Canada cards when I get back on Tuesday.
  
  In case anyone is confused, I have a Canadian return address on the cards but I mailed them from Florida. Nothing weird is going on, I'm just vacationing and had some spare time.

  Sorry I didn't reply to this sooner. I am currently out of town visiting the few family members that still speak to me.
  
  Here's some stuff that I like:
  
  Candles
  
  Potpourri
  
  Anything from Bath & Body Works
  
  Chocolate or any kind of sweet
  
  I just got a new puppy so anything to do with dogs. - A friend of mine showed me her Dog "Baby Book" - It's like the books you fill out for your newborn baby except it's for your dog. I want one of those but I have no idea where to find one.
  
  I'm Christian so, anything Christian oriented would be nice.
  
  I've also been exchanging Christmas ornaments with friends, so I'm reminded of them every time I look at my tree. So a Christmas ornament would be cool.
  
  Something that interests the sender would be nice and would remind me of them. I'm really not that picky and I would be happy with anything you send me, as long as it's not WT literature.

  I got baptised yesterday!

  i had to give a testimony in church.

  i kept on having to stop to take a deep breath as the tears were threatening to come pouring out into the ugly cry.

  New Canadian here...What is Boxing Day all about?

  can someone please explain to me what you are supposed to do on boxing day?

  i keep hearing different things.

  one person told me that i'm supposed to give baked goods to the neighbors, another told me to re-gift and another told me that i'm supposed to give presents to the mailman.

  It's bad enough that I'm an ex-JW who has never celebrated holidays before without the Canadians are throwing new holidays at me every time I turn around.

  i just wanted to give a big hello to everyone i haven't met on this board, i have not posted here for almost two years now i think.

  i just wanted to let everyone know i am going back to the truth and i'd like you all to join me, there is no denying that jehovah's witness are the only true organization inspired by god and wait, what am i saying?.

  i want to invite fellow apostates to come join me this weekend at the world conference on religion where i will be giving my experiences going from a jehovah's witness to an atheist / humanist.

  Graves of loved ones - JWs allowed to visit?

  this is not a question about attending funerals.

  is it permissible for jws to visit the graves of their loved ones if they merely want a moment's reflection on the departed?.

  is it permissible for jws to do this on the anniversary of the death?.

  My 'anointed' SIL buried my FIL's (her dad) ashes in her back yard under some rose bushes.

  My step-father did the same thing with his late wife and daughter. I thought he was just a kook. Even worse, after my mother married him she decided to "do the right thing" and dig up the dead wife and daughter and place the remaining ashes in a niche at the cemetery.

  My husband has a relative who used to carry her dead father's ashes around the house with her. Her husband recently died and I shudder to think what she'll do with his remains.

  "New Light" Not Waking People Up !!!

  i have absolutely no idea how to get through to some people.... i mentioned the 1935 change to a jw, and told him that i'd seen the change coming... it was a logical progression, not a revelation from god to the fds.... his response ?.

  "i've also had changes revealed to me before the fds makes the change, it just goes to show that jehovah reveals it to his people and that the witnesses have the truth.".

  aaaaargh !!!!.

  Maybe all the witnesses will be raptured to heaven, and we won't have to listen to the droning on anymore !

  Heck no! I don't want a bunch of JWs irritating me up in Heaven.
