The rumors about CHitty and Greenlees have long been accepted as fact. I recall one of my local elders, who was at Bethel during the time both were removed from the GB, always referring to their dismissal as being because of "moral turpitude." However, the statement about CHitty and a 17 year old needs some supporting evidence..esp since 17 is, as already stated, below the age requirement for a bethelite. It was at one time 18, but I don't believe it was ever lower.

And from what I have read about Greenlees..17 was prolly too old for him.

you may or may not aware, there are currently 77 different translations of the bible widely used in the us today.

i personally use 5 of them (kjv, niv, amp, nasb, message).

i was wondering if anyone knew about the venue for a 2007 district (i believe) convention taking place in northeast pennsylvania over the labor day holiday?

where it's scheduled for?.

i work for a company that was trying to obtain blocks of hotel rooms for a soccer tournament the same weekend.

Can you imagine the crappy nielsen ratings that channel would get?? Of course there are a few diehards who watch nothing else..and no doubt the society would encourage the congregations to watch nothing else..

Considering that I still have many loved one trapped in the organization, it is hard for me to label it Satanic. Also, and I may draw some criticism for this, for all my complaints about the organization, there were parts of it I enjoyed and there were times in my life that it was just what I needed. Soo, not from Satan, just another misguided religion with power hungry, corrupt leaders and mainly well intentioned, sincere underlings.
