Elders don't close their eyes when they pray
by outofthebox inwhen i was a hardcore jw, i closed my eyes and paid attention to the prayer, because i believed we were communicating with god.
what a privilege!
now, it has been some time since i closed my eyes when the jws pray.

HL~ Your so damn cool. My not JW friends still always ask about you!
Tex~ You hold your composure well. One would never know you sweat. You are just so peaceful when I see you! I think I have never seen you have a moment that I thought was awkward.
Nina! I so miss Valis. Life was never the same after seeing that nip pinch episode. WOW!! Yes, we need to get together with Travis! He and his are really sweet! In an mischievous way he is a kid with a new pincher each time I see him!
Cog~ Once you have been pinched by Valis...your never the same. Have enough herbal refreshments and you might just not care about your nips.

What a rush. I have done that and well to tell you the truth, I saw the group of JW's at the local bakery and I acted non disfellowshipped. Make them shun me if they wanted. But I said hello and kept the conversation up. Not knowing what to do I guess...they talked back. IT was funny to see the hold and fear just lose its grip. It is a lot harder for them to be blatant if they are confronted with friendliness. They are kind of stuck in a situation as to they are on the spot for being rude.
Not that they all have a problem with that. But me, I am not owning it. They can shun all they want, but it is not coming from my side.

fifi~ Once she gets your heart...she has got it!
Coco~"Good people are just that - good people." True. So True.
Ohiocowboy!~ I am the same way and had she not helped me warm up, I am not so sure that I would have come back. lol I get pretty shy at first. And TY. Your pretty shiznizzle yourself!
stilla~ Yes they need to be on your 'do not miss' list. Not a pretentious bone amongst them and they are so classy at that! Which makes them better than "good"!

My first apostafest was a nerve wrecking ordeal for I had never been to a fest before, never been on the net, and most assuredly was quite frightened. Out of the blue came this creature with the biggest smile on her face and the warmest hug to greet me with. It was like home. The nerves melted and I no longer was so afraid
She forgave me for mooning her neighbors and always has the best drinks and great advice. (chocolate wine is the best) She is more than a person could ever ask for in a friend, a great fighter for what is right and a pussycat she is not. She is a tiger. With a bright smile that just is good people all around. I watch her and hers as they make it through all that is handed to and has been handed to them and it is as if she dances through it all with such grace. A hard act to follow.
Just thought I would pass these thoughts on and share. I love her!!
