As cute as you are. I am sure they are always around you. Just may be had to see for all the buttheads butts in the way. Try brainy boy places. Like libraries, volunteering at hospital, ooh and a great place is things that raise moneys for charities. Like the diabetes walk, breast cancer, big brothers and sisters. Usually those guys that do things like that have great hearts.

I have to agree with Elsewhere on this. It has not failed me yet that the quiet and shy are actually more agressive than the straightforward bold men when you give them a chance. Sometimes getting to know or understand them is a bit hard, but the time is well spent...I kind of like the quiet and shy ones...

What kind of Apostate are you?
by diamondblue1974 ini've been on this site now for a little while and think its brilliant and its been a tonic in getting things straight and for gathering research.
(thanks simon & ang).
in fact its difficult to get work done during the day because of reading posts on here.. a couple of months ago if someone wouldve asked me whether i was apostate i would have flatly refused partly because the indoctrination still has its effect even after a decade and the negative connotation attached to the word 'apostate' is still at the back of my mind.

Well, I dont like that the JW's gave apostates such a bad name. But once I met people at the apostabowl, well I think that alone changed my vision of an apostate.
Though it has been many years, I still remember the blimps going over the assemblies and all these people in polyester in 1978. That was apostate to me. Kind of wierd. And all of the fake Awake magazines thast would infiltrate the assembly.
BUT NOW: I see that if I am called one, it is kind of a compliment. It means I have learned to excercize my brain and furthermore I have started to live. Kind of like a second birth. All of the people I have met so far are people I really enjoy and they seem so more real than all of the people who had nothing better to do than condem me. It means I am an OK person. That is my definition of apostate now.
In response to the question of what kind of an apostate I am...well lets see:
The kind who can juggle 3 kids, a full time job, a second business, college and still have time to have fun at the end of the week. I can laugh, cry, love, and my personal favorite...I can have an opinion. AND IT MATTERS!!
I can go to a gay bar with my friends who are gay, or dance in a club with a man I do not have to marry. I can drink too much and not be publicly humiliated by anyone other than self if it comes to that...I can cuss, and I can dream and I can actually sit and watch a choir sing"Drop Kick me Jesus" if I must and I can put my hand over my heart at the football game and cry for all the patriotism I see. I can even go braless and have a short skirt....(If I dare)
Celebrate B-days, Listen to heavy metal, and I don't have sceen my music. A whole world of wonderful non-JW things!!
That is the kind of apostatte I am.

You know you're NOT a JW anymore when...(add some)
by Flindersgirl inyou don't automatically wake up with a headache on sunday morning.... you no longer go around (while in field service) mentally deciding what home you'll "have" after armaggedon.... every item of clothing you buy as a woman is not first assessed for its modesty value.... you no longer worry about the 144,000 watching you have sex...:).
when on holiday you don't have to find the nearest kingdom hall asap (remember brother and sisters you are not on holiday from jehovah!!!).
being able to laugh about having a numb ass at the assemblies from sitting and the hilarity in having to tell people that you found the meeting "uplifting" when really you were fighting sleep the whole time.... you no longer have to avoid entire sections of music stores in order to make sure you don't pick up and "demonistic" vibes from backmasked cd's.

Gwyneth,
You up and stole the song from my head, but I really always stressed the other lines as important.
You know how us Catholic girls can be
We make up for so much time a little too late
I never forgot it, confusing as it was
No fun with no guilt feelingsI confessed my darkest deeds to an envious man
My brothers they never went blind for what they did
But I may as well have In the name of the Father, the Skeptic and the Son
I had one more stupid questionTHOUGHT: Add on to that the stupid question being: May I be reinstated?
