  How long is a cotton picking minute?

  sometimes i hear someone say: "hold on just one cotton pick'in minute....".

  i'm wondering, is a "cotten picking minute" a "bored" minute that feels like a long time or is it a "busy" minute that seems to fly by?

  Dan! Of course. In fact I get called Niglette on a regular basis. The south has not really progressed that much. At work there are a lot of racist comments like, "she only promotes her kind"... of which I say, "well then I guess I stand half a chance." You hear it from both sides.

  Bible Study Burns Down the House...

  someone just mentioned 1978 and it reminded me that a bible study of my mothers burnt our house down while we were gone to the international convention in california.

  she robbed us blind and then toasted our house.

  do you think jehovah had a plan there and that we were being blessed for sitting something like 8 freaking days out in the sun in california?

  And the Arson lady...well I think she went to jail or something. She was replaced by my enabler mom with the town lesbian who would come and rub her whiskers all over my brother and I....eww. She rode one of those grown up tricycles that the old people use to pick up aluminum cans in!

  ARE YOU STRANGE TOO ???

  i knew i was a little odd, when i noticed it was only me who seemed to read magazines, starting at the back and working my way to the front.. but the other day, i realized when on this forum, that i always start at the bottom of the page of topics and work my way up to the top!!!!!!!!!.

  i know strange but true.

  JAVA...No nuthin in her noggin! 26 years later she is still trusting in Jah! Cracks me up.. Her one DF'ed child and her adopted son are the two that take care of her. She spends like a mad cow, and says Jo Hober will provide. He sure does. Via her apostate daughter and I am the single one with 3 children. Her other loyal "JW" daughters cannot even give her a letter so that she does not go crazier. Thus leaving us to be Jehovah....and provide. (BTW, you talked me into post ing my bio, and I never heard if you read it. sorry it is just the start and I could not get it to paste right on the first page...but it is there and am curious what ya' thought...even if it is derogatory )

  JAVA-- You know I never thought about that...As a matter of fact, I think we were given some clothes, but insurance and "worldly means" set us up in a home for a bit. I don't recall any monetary help from the congregation...I was only 7 or 8 though. I do know this act made sure we stayed dirt poor for a very long time....

  Actually it is quite strange that my mother was a person that literally would give you her last meal and wait on Jehovah to give us more, and I do not recall that much help being given to us. Maybe they thought the "State Farm" was Jehovahs blessing...

  I recall my mom giving this poor study our last chicken and I was so mad at her. Then...Jeehover provided.... someone gave us pigs feet and she said Jehovah provides and tried to cook them. Jo Hoba needed to give her the recipe because she had no idea how to burn the hair off and clean them. Our house was the most GOD awful smell for quite a bit....

  Mary I so agree....funny thing is the lady that burnt our home was named Mary...lol

  Actually I clearly remembering my mom saying how blessed we were because we had all of our best clothes with us.. Meeting wear! (70's style)
