My kids and I moved from an apartment back in September. At the last apartment we had a bit of problems with mice last winter. Not only did we have the problem but our neighbors did too. After that winter the mice seemed to have left because we didn't have problems from that time on. I kept the container in a big walk-in closet.
Now mind you, there are some Halloween stuff in there since we don't have a large collection of holiday stuff. As I'm sitting there seperating lights and other holiday stuff, I hear my 4 year old daughter say..."momma, this is a cute Halloleen toy, I have a pider and a cute wittle mouse"...I'm thinking, ok, she found the spider but I've never had a halloween "mouse" ....there in her hand was a dried up old mouse....ewwwwwww. It must have been in there since last Christmas.
i work for the phone company ... here are scams related to that, that people fall for a ton!!!.
"you accept a collect call from someone who says it was a mistake reaching you, but it was their only call.
you do that and they take your number and bill it to your account.
I am one of those that check out every phone number/billing/charges...I do that with my cable and my electric also. I don't have money to throw out the window...not even a few bucks. Though again, I also don't provide much information on the net or on the phone unless I'm sure... (100%) sure they are up and up. Internet scares me when it comes to those things.
Another scam that's been going on is with Child Support payments. When I had my cell phone I'd get text messages at least once a week saying that my support card had been canceled because of "suspicious" activity and I needed to call such and such number or go to such and such web site. Instead of doing either one of those, I called my local child support person and asked her if it was true and she told me right then that it was a scam and it was being looked into. Scammers...they deserve what they get when caught...if caught.

for everyone taking part in this years secret santa, here is the thread to post ideas about what you would like to receive.
this way when you get your name of who you are buying for you can come in here and look at what your person has posted.. .
I love scented candles.
I like things that are special to the area of my secret santa...maybe something with the logo/picture of the area...that would be cool.
I love homemade stuff such as cards, crafts, afghans, or something that has personality.
I like going into antique places and find cool interesting things that you can't buy anywhere else.
I LOVE hugs :-) If you send hugs, please send a dozen...bakery's dozen that is...heehee.

oh man, if my mom ever knew i was going, she'd be demonizing me up and down.
Now Freedom Frog, you know the society has continually warned us about the dangers of heavy metal music. Have you considered the impact this will have on your Christian conscience?
Yeah yeah...I know...(shuffles feet derisorily)......did I say "YAY"? lol

ok, i think this is the most poorly designed advertisement i've seen in a while.
look at the differences...is it just me or is it obvious these are two totally different gals?
one is way much darker and the other is not.
When I first saw this ad I thought not only did she lose weight she changed her race!
"But wait...that's not all...we'll even throw in the magnificent race changing formula for the same low price of $19.99. That's RIGHT, only $19.99 " CALL NOW!

Don't tell me she had a nice tan while fat but didn't keep up with it while she was skinner...besides, I don't think a white person as white as the second person can get a dark tan like the one on the left...at least I can't seem to get that dark of a tan.
Just thought it was interesting.
My son and I like to watch advertisements, movies, or shows and see if we can catch inconsistent things in them. We're constantly rewinding/skipping back with our tapes/CD's catching mistakes on them. Kinda fun.
For example on Aladin, my son (which I caught years ago) noticed Aladin had a bit of a bloody arm when he was fighting the snake but a few shots later the scratch was gone while fighting the same snake...lol
redvodkatini:.
type of drink is "cocktail".
2 measures of vodka.
3 parts Captain Morgan, 1 part of Cranberry Juice....Yummmm
Or 1 part Scotch 2 parts hot chocolate.
play the game yourself..... http://www.dresslikepalin.com/.
I don't know any "hockey moms" who shop at Neiman Marcus and I doubt anyone who shops at Neiman Marcus visits thrift shops.
I sure don't know how "hockey mom/thrift shopper comes into play. I was a "baseball" mom before I got divorced ...getting my kid his baseball gear was outrageous.
I'm a thrift shopper mom but can't afford to be no "hockey/soccer/baseball" mom anymore...I do good just shopping at thrift shops.
"hockey mom" to me sounds just like that, being a mom who has a spouse/support person to fork over the money in order for them to be that "hockey" mom. Does not impress me.
"hockey" mom = money (imho)
