i was leaving to go have my finger prints done when i seen a nice long red scratch from the back door to the rear bumper of my car.
it looks like she basically drove onto my car because it's scratched the alloy wheels.
there is black tire on the rims of my tire with red in the mix.
Well, I found her car and it was who I had expected. She's got a nice scratch on her front bumper with some of my silver paint on her car. I did take pictures and even took some of the red paint off my car and put it in a baggy. I wrote her a note that said basically this...
Dear neighbor,
I believe you side swiped my car and I now have scratches that I would like to get fix. I have your license number but I wanted to give you a chance to call me so maybe we can see what we need to do. Please call me at xxx-xxxx to let me know what you would like to do. Thanks
I tried to be a nice as I could but also wanted to hint in there that I will be taking futher actions if she doesn't call.
Ok, the damages aren't THAT bad. I took it to a body shop and they said it would be about $500. to fix. If she would call me and pay the money, I will not have her to put this on her insurance. If only she would call. If she doesn't, I will get the police again (because it's already recorded) when she's home and get them to get the insurance info. I'll give her until the end of the weekend to get in touch with me.

Actually, the car thing did upset me a tiny bit but getting my new job out weighed it so I'm still in a very good mood. I am taking the paint that her car left on my car off and putting it in a baggy because one of my friends found a car that hit his and that's what he did. He was able to take the paint in and prove it was the car that hit him and he got his car paid.
Actually, I'm not too worried about the scratches...it's more of the point than the scratches. If she had left a note on my car I would have contacted her and worked something out. Oh well. Not much manners in this world anymore.

Oh, yeah...right...I'm wanted by the police in 20 different states...
LOL...no, it's for a new job I'm about to start in Dec. Since I'll be teaching preschoolers all teachers are required to get their finger prints done.

Of course most of the red can be removed but the 5 scratches that are anywhere from 1/2 to 6 inches long will need to be fixed.
I know EXACTLY which neighbor it is because since she's moved in, there has been one trouble after another. I tried to not park near her but that didn't work since the car I was actually parked must have moved and then she squeezed near my car. I have never complained on my neighbors until today (that was the last straw). Every Saturday, she and about 7 others will stand out screaming, cussing, and carrying on. I know it's due to alcohol because they will get out of their cars holding beer bottles...
I did call the police to make a report (just to have it on record) and then called my insurance. They told me (so I don't have to pay the deductible) to try to talk with her and get her insurance info....I'm not looking forward to that. At any rate, I can get her license plate number when she comes home and if I have trouble I may need to call the police out again. We'll see what happens.

I went to my son's musical tonight (which he did awesome in) then I stopped in at my favorite pub and celebrated a bit.
To answer a few questions... I start Dec 3. At that time I am required to take 120 days of child care/CPR/child abuse/officer of the court/and child care classes. All the classes are paid for by the clinic. After that my wages (which is starting out at min.) will advance by a big chunk. Each year I have the opportunity to take additional classes that will make my wages go up by .50. Even if I don't go to the classes (which I will anyway) I will still get a pay raise quarterly.
The childcare benefits aren't as good as I had hoped but they do take 30% off. She told me (the owner) that if I can not get on to the Title II program, they would work with me, so that's good in itself because she wanted me that bad. I'm calling Opportunity Center tomorrow since she told me they handle the title program stuff, to see what I can do.
I will be teaching preschoolers science/reading/and math. I'm so excited even though the benefits aren't that great...I think of it as, it's a start into my career as a Child Psychologist.

YAY!!! I got the job....well at least as long as my fingerprinting and drug test comes back fine...hmmm..lol
So yeah, I got the job because both is totally clean.
