Reasons there is no God
by Lemonp inok, lets assume that god created everything as is, with no evolution involved.
this is what jw's teach based on a singular vague verse in genesis.

Fusion theism - It doesn't prove that God Enjoys watching Animal Suffering. It proves that he allows it. Universal Justice & Moral Laws exist just as Natural Laws exist.
Simply because God does not intervene, and Stop suffering, does not mean that he does not Exist, or that he is evil. It can mean that he chooses to abide by Universal Law.
example - If this event happens, then this event must happen. Or if this creation decides to do this, then this happens as a result.
This is Justice - Cause & Effect.

Lemonparty the book of Jasher is quoted by The NWT 2 Samuel 1:18 " and said that the people of Judah should be taught the dirge called “The Bow,” which is written in the book of Ja′shar."
Other Bible canons, include the book of Jasher, thus qualifying it as a scripture.

Lemonparty,
You're quite mistaken about, there being no scriptural texts about the corruption of animals :
"18 And their judges and rulers went to the daughters of men and took their wives by force from their husbands according to their choice, and the sons of men in those days took from the cattle of the earth, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air, and taught the mixture of animals of one species with the other, in order therewith to provoke the Lord; and God saw the whole earth and it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted its ways upon earth, all men and all animals." (Jasher 4:18)
(Jasher is a legitimate scriptural text, which is quoted by the NWT canon)
There are several other historical and or scriptural texts that discuss the corruption of animals, by the Nephilim. It is possible that the dinosaurs came about, through cross breeding, and this was the reason that they were destroyed permanently.
2 Enoch 18:3-5 " These are the watchers, 200 leaders of whom fell away and went down to the land of Hermon. They took a vow on Mount Hermon, seeing how gorgeous human women were, and they took them as wives. The land was raped, the women acted like scoundrels, and the whole era was marked by criminal behavior and cross-breeding. Their children were giants and monsters."

"The Apostle" Paul & "The governing body" He paid not attention to them
by LAWHFol inmany witnesses view the structure of the organization, and the authority of the governing body , as a model of the first century congregation..if the governing body is, indeed structured similarly to the 12 apostles.
paul provides a good example of how we need to view men such as these.. he admonishes christians to reject any teaching that is different from god's word gal 1:8 "but even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.".
he shows by his words that the first century leaders, meant little to him.. 2 cor 11:5 "indeed, i consider that i am not in the least inferior to these super-apostles.".

2 Cor 11:5 "Indeed, I consider that I am not in the least inferior to these super-apostles."
Galatians 2:6 "As for those who were held in high esteem--whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not show favoritism--they added nothing to my message."
He showed by his actions that the leaders meant little to him.
After he said, that he received his commission, he did not consult with the Apostles, "nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me," Gal 1:17
After he began preaching to the Gentiles, he waited more than 14 Years To report his Time and Bible Study Information! "Then after fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem" Gal 2:1
And the Most Shocking, is at Gal 2:11 .. Paul Confronted Peter to his Face, and made him aware of the fact, that what Peter was doing was very wrong! "But when Peter came to Antioch, I had to oppose him to his face, for what he did was very wrong."
Imagine if a JW publisher, made comments, to the effect that the gb is not of any consequence to them, and that they have not learned anything from the gb, everything that they learned was from the bible? Or what if a witness, were to confront a gb member directly and tell them, that they stood condemned, because of their wrong ways?? Oh My.
But those were only Bible Times, we don't worry about such details now.. We're only concerned with following the governing body, so we can be declared sheep.

Hi Deltaware,
After I discovered, TTATT.. I had to start discussing my findings with my wife.
the first thing that her and I considered together was An Amazing Audio recording from Brother Dunlap.. He was close friends with Bro.Franz, and he is one of my Heroes. An amazing man.
you can find the recording here : http://www.watchtowernews.org/media/dunlap.mp3
He discusses his experience writing the book "Aid to Bible Understanding" along with Ray Franz, and how things started to become so clear as he was doing Deep Bible a Research.
I hope you're able to listen to his recording, I promise that you will genuinely benefit from it & Enjoy it.
take Care!
P.S. After listining to Bro.Dunlap, my wife agreed to Read COC.. We were both out of the ORg, within 3 Months after this. : )

I am not DA or DF, however anyone that Knows me, is Aware of the Fact that I'm an Apostate. I help my Witness Dad, in his Business Two Days a Week, the Business is in a Public Place, where Witnesses often visit.
Recently some Witnesses, from my Former Congregation, have visited my Dad, (Not Knowing, that I would be there). Yesterday a friend of my Dad's came to Visit my Dad, and as he Approached I Said "Hey Fred, how are you?" he was a Bit Surprised to see me, and Didn't recognize me, since I have a Beard now. I shook his Hand, and greeted he and his Daughter. Fred is someone that I've always liked and Respected, and while he did not "Shun" me as many do, there was a Thickness in the Air, as he spoke with my Dad.. It was a very awkward moment, and such an Unnatural Experience, for me. I have experienced the Feelings when being around someone that I do not like, or that does not like me, that is natural.
However being around someone, who was/is a Friend, but Is uncomfortable by my Presence, simply due to a Religious Doctrine, is Just Unnatural..It's a Very Unfortunate Experience, Indeed. The fact that anyone can make Decisions for anyone else, and enforce these Decisions is a Shame.
I can't wait until the Day that this Organization crumbles, and is Exposed for It's Blasphemous ways.
All of these friends and family who have Shunned or Judged My Wife & I, will come to us Humiliated and asking for Forgiveness.. I can't wait for the Opportunity to Forgive them, and Welcome them back as Friends, and give an Example of What it is to Treat a Fellow Human with Dignity & Respect, without Prejudice or Pride.

The Governing Body-Faded apostates?
by John Aquila inive been here less than a year, but ive notice that the majority of us have faded for various reasons.
we also read the stories of those who got disfellowshipped or disassociated themselves.
in the majority of the cases, their parents will not talk to the children for years and the children will not talk to the parents even if they are dying.

Outlaw - I Agree.
While I don't judge those who Continue to attend meetings. Their attendance at meetings alone, makes the Statement to Friends & Family that they Agree and Support all Practices and Teachings of the Organization. Where as their absence or Discontinuation of Participating, makes the Statement, that they do not agree or Support the Organizations Policies and Teachings.
For anyone that Disagrees, Imagine a Man that wears a White Robe, and White Hat, while attending KKK rallies.. This man may reason, "I don't actually Kill any One, or Participate in the Activities, that I don't agree with" His Attendance alone, Fortifies the Group and Gives Confidence to the Other KKK Members.
This Is Especially True, if you are a Well Respected person, who is Known to Do the Right Thing or a Person who is Known to be Intelligent... People look to you as An Example, and if they Ever ask themselves 'Maybe these WT Teachings, are Wrong" They reason "Well Brother "SeemstobeaGoodJW" , Is still an Active Witness, and he is a Very Reasonable and Godly Man, it must be me, that is Wrong, since I have known him to always do the Right thing."
Lead By Example.
Disclaimer - If you have Children, or Family Members that you would surely lose, by Leaving, I don't Judge you, as I was Fortunate to not lose my Wife of family, when I left, We all must choose our Own Path.

Pretend you were still a JW, would you have secretly wanted hospitals to force a loved on to have a blood transfusion?
by EndofMysteries ini'm curious, even though jws must fight and resist, how many secretly hope that their loved one is forced a blood transfusion so they can live and their conscious is cleared of having done everything possible to not have one?
or you have felt guilty and upset about it no matter what?
