  she's received low grade harassment from the watchtower for years.

  That blog post is very confusing.

  The main gist is they are "harassing" her by visiting her blog. The purpose of blogs is to bring people to it. If you don't want people reading your writings, you use a diary, not a blog.

  Also, visiting your blog is not harassing at all.

  bryce williams (not real name, but on-air name) shot and killed 2 people on live television this morning in roanoke, va. he was wearing a go-pro camera, and uploaded his first-person video onto his social media accounts.

  Mentally ill people cannot help their actions or often even realize them.

  True in some cases at certain junctures when symptoms are at their worst.
  

  As a behavioral health clinician, I had a patient confess murder and another violent crime to me. I asked him why he didn't kill the 2nd victim and he said he stopped because he knew it was wrong. This was a person who was very obviously mentally ill by anyone's observation--always acting and dressing bizarre. I talked to him about turning himself in to the police. He agreed he should be locked up and acknowledged his acts were wrong.

  That is my most "not cognizant" example of a patient-criminal. My others had a greater awareness of their wrongs and ability to stop them.

  There is a saying in AA that is good. "You are not responsible for your disease, but you are responsible for your recovery."

  True, the difficulty with mental illness is getting the person to be aware of the problem and accept help. This is true of most humans who need to change something big about themselves--we don't like change or admitting something's wrong.

  This guy reportedly had persecutory delusions and command hallucinations, indicative of the most serious level of illness. He refused help--not unusual. It's unfortunate no one forced him to get help before he became violent.

  Felons can't get guns. Period.

  They can't legally possess guns.

  They absolutely can get guns though--easily. In my state, people can sell each other guns on Craigslist, in their garages, or anywhere else. They are not required to do any background check whatsoever. It's up to the felon to not buy the gun, not the other way around.

  FFLs require a background check, but they are not the only way guns are legally sold.

  Here, no license is required to purchase a gun, and business owners cannot even stop you from packing heat unless they go through extra hoops to accommodate you by providing a gun locker and posting special signs.

  Well if we're going to go into gun control, then I'll say this. And I say this as a former behavioral health clinician.

  All gun sales should be subject to FFL plus a mental health/substance abuse screen.

  It would not stop everything, but it would pick up some glaring mental health cases, and reduce the opportunity for felons to get guns.

  JWs nearly killed my mother

  the past week has been hell for me.

  my mother started feeling ill and we went to seek medical assistance.

  we live in the mountains and the nearest large hospital is about 150 kms away.

  Been there, done that. It completely sucks that irrational brainwashing causes easily avoidable problems.

  I hope the underlying cause of the anemia has been resolved too.

  Sanskrit is considered to be the Highest Quality Language, and Most Logical Language in Existence by Nasa

  Truth: A paper published several decades ago by an employee of NASA, writing it on his own time with no involvement of NASA, said Sanskrit's strict grammar rules make it easy for computers to interpret. End of story. So...not an indicator of divinity.
  

  The Vedas include Highly Accurate Prophecies of the End Days.

  How would we know it's accurate, since it hasn't happened yet?
  

  Their Prophecies include the Coming of Christ & The Great Flood.

  So do many religions, but there is no evidence Jesus Christ existed and The Great Flood has been thoroughly disproven.

  He had so many issues with coworkers over the years at many jobs, making false accusations that they were out to get him and calling him names. @ one point, his employer directed him to seek medical attention or he would be terminated. Once, he was fired and had to be removed from the premises by the police.

  He claimed Jehovah told him to do it.
  

  Yes, it could be just anger issues. But...there is a legitimate suspicion that this was a mental health issue. Consider this: paranoia (everyone is making racist comments about him), command hallucinations (Jehovah speaking to him), delusions of grandeur (saying those other mass murderers are "his boys"), bizarre behavior at work (former employers state this) and aggression characteristic of several common mental illnesses. It's well within the realm of possibility.

  Now we will probably never know for sure, since we can't have him diagnosed now.
