I have to be honest and say that I most likely will not be contributing much to the discussion board.
This is the exact same thought I had over a decade ago.
i just wanted to add my name to the many number of people who have awakened from the cult.
i have been lurking for probably 2 years now.
and i'm quite certain there are many more lurking and reading just like me.. i have to be honest and say that i most likely will not be contributing much to the discussion board.

one of my best friends was disfellowshipped several years ago, and word quickly got around that it was because he's gay.
we lost touch after that because of the disfellowshipping, but since i'm out now, i just found him online and got back in touch with him.
it was a great conversation, but he said he returned to jehovah.
I don't understand how any gay person can be xian in any way. The bible is clear about its hatred.
I have known some homosexuals who literally hate themselves because of who they are naturally as human beings, which conflicts with an historically incorrect collection of hate-filled, bizarre ramblings from the Bronze Age.
These dear ones have tried suicide, drinking themselves to death, and other horrible means of self-punishment.
The fear of being oneself, as one was born, is confusing to me.
i have been thinking about how the wtb&t society bullies all of its members into submission with the threats they use (by practice), i.e.
“if you do this we will df you and you will be shunned”.
“if you da yourself, we will make an announcement and your friends, relatives and family will abandon you”, etc.
So, in the eyes of your state constitution, "forced" = fearful of social and spiritual consequences if they don't?
I would be interested in reading the part of your constitution that says the following:
require the state to actively protect constitutionally guaranteed liberties against intrusions by private actors such as a religion and its hierarchy. This duty to protect can be a duty by the state to protect a believer from his/her religious community.
some time ago i used to work at a hospital.
when my family members would receive treatment at this place, often times they would ask me if i could look up information for them regarding their health.
i always had to tell them that privacy laws did not allow me to bypass the hospital's administration.
If someone accesses medical records or passses medical info on to any third party then they should be sacked, or if they are a nurse or doctor then they should be struck off. I'm sure the US will be the same
On Page 1 I posted a link to the rule about giving basic info to clergy and visitors in the US.
It is legal.

you respect the law. The problem is that in the name of "Jehovah", many JWs will violate the law
And that is why there are Health Information Privacy and Security Officers.
I was one in the past. I set up triggers when a person looks at an account with their same last name, same address, same phone #, is listed as next of kin, or is flagged as a VIP. I would investigate each one. I fired somebody for altering her daughter's financial info, for example, less than 24 hours after she did it.
I also did audits when a patient was the subject of media coverage--there would be a rash of people who suddenly had to look up that particular individual, though they were not currently involved in the case. They got disciplinary action.
I audited when a patient had something "interesting" going on that would spark snooping.
These are pretty standard safeguards in the US, which I'm sure StarTrekAngel knows all about. Dubbies can't get away with it as easily when there is an electronic medical record.

Please see the above link for an explanation of the HIPAA laws and rules.
Anything outside of the above would fall into a separate part of the rule, like a healthcare POA, etc.
If OP is not in the US, disregard this information.
trump’s son-in-law buys watchtower hq, has big, beautiful plans for it.

LOL, that was an entertaining article, from "making the office building great again" to "Watchtower is the name of the church's newsletter".
Refusing comment about whether they will remove the wt sign. LOL. Of course they will. They just don't want to let people see how great the new space is before they announce that. People have been known to get up in arms when "iconic" signs are removed.

What is the legal meaning of this hearing?
i just had a random recall about jws and what they used to peddle.. in my area of pennsylvania (usa), there was a brother who used to be the shaklee dealer.. there was also a brother who owned his own landscaping company and sold long distance phone plans.
in fact, i remember 3 brothers who sold lond distance plans.. did anyone else experience these products or others?
just wondering.. brian.
Shaklee, definitely. It was a big thing among dubs because they didn't trust evidence-based medicine.
Shaklee became a substitute for real medical care for me for a while, with near deadly results.
