  Taking a little break from JWD

  i'm taking a little break to enjoy the real world and catch up on all the work i have let slide since i met all of you bad, bad apostates.

  my kids are out for spring break next week and we are going to go hang out with the hippies in asheville, nc as well, so it's going to be a busy two weeks.

  i look forward to catching up again in april...especially looking forward to the big post from dave on the 12 step program.

  john wrote that many put faith in jesus, but because of being afraid of getting expelled from the synagogue, they wouldn't confess him.. john 12: 42. it was a powerful weapon back then, and it's still used today.

  even when some want to stop being a witness, they're lumped in with ones who are unrepentant sinners, and expelled from the congregation.. wouldn't the pharisees be proud of many of the things done in the organization today?.

  Yes the numbers are speculative and not based on a real transaction, but I believe they are an accurate representation of the

  If ther is a SKF loan, the local congregation owns the hall about as much as you own your house if you have a mortgage.

  Once it is paid for the local congregation owns it, not the society. I've never heard of a hall being 'donated' back to the branch.

  Here is the racket. The SKF loans you the money for the hall, and you pay that back (rather swiftly I might add) with interest. Now say you want to build a new hall 10 or 15 years down the road. You collect money, sell your hall and get a new loan. Now to pay the loan down the local congo WILL give the society the proceeds from the old hall's sale, any of the specific new hall donations, and eventually the loan the loan back to the society.

  Pretty good deal huh? They dont need title to the hall, the resources are eventually at their disposal anyhow.

  EDIT: Sorry, the highlighted area is not a society quote although they were using it in the book to prove the harlot BTG supports the UN. ( National Council of the Churches of Christ in America)
