ah!
so with the hot weather in so california, it's common to have ant problems.
well, last night i discovered a pest i never imagined.
I had an 18 inch gecko living in my wardrobe. Although I wouldn't call him a pest. He'd sing at night, and eat all the bugs.

my parents are headed to the sydney convention this weekend.
she has told my sister this is the last assembly they will be having in this system.
the end is coming!.
Ask her if she is willing to put that in writing and then sign and date it.If she refuses, call her on her Bull Sht.
Ah, now that would be 'testing Jehovah'.

i wondered, since the jws claim that jesus is their teacher, what evidence do they have of jesus shunning "bad associations"?
it seems to me, from reading the bible, that the religious people of his day really gave him a hard time, because he actually spent the majority of his time with "bad associates", rather than shunning them.
thomas, though he followed jesus, wasn't totally convinced.
Aw, Quandry, you party-pooper.

Gunshy,
Can I ask you, is it possible to be disfellowship (and therefore shunned) for vocalizing differences with the orginization?
If you think it is possible, can you explain why.
steve
i've seen where some former jws compare the wts to certain movies or books (such as the village and 1984).
i just wondered what movies or books reminded you of the wts and why?
did you draw this conclusion before or after you left the organization?
Lord of the Flies!

2. gross, get rid of it!

A Jehovahs Witness feels exactly as you do. One of Jehovah's Witnesses does not feel the way you do. When you understand what that means, you'll understand the difference between a name and a title.
Gunshy, I was a Jehovahs Witness for over twenty years, so I know exactly what you are saying, I'm just trying to get a reseason why you think it scriptuarly. Because, it is a false teaching.
I'm off on vacation for a couple of days, so have a good weekend, and maybe we can pick this up later.
Take care.

Gunshy, As I had mentioned in my previous post the Acts 15 is in fact a quotes from Amos 9. The reference has absolutely nothing to do with a title. As you have stated, Christian is a title, but so is Jehovahs Witness, AKA, Witnesses of Jehovah. These are not, as you put it, names.
If you research what having the name of God is all about, you'll discover that it has Nothing to do with ANY title or name an organization bestowes its followers.
If your looking for the 'true' religion, and part of that proof is the name/title they give themselves, then you may be looking for the criteria that organization has given you, not the criteria in the scriptures. And ultimatly, you'll be looking for the wrong religion.
