No, I don't want to congratute you. Have you seen those society pictures of John the Bapist's head on a plater.
steve
as a child, what did you want to be, when you became an adult?
if you could, would you want to go back in time, and become what you wanted to be in the first place?.
as a child, i wanted to be a florist.
I wanted to be a bethelite and regular pioneer.
My mother was quite a Jdub controlled freek, however, she told me not to go to bethel.
steve
ive just left the jws well got dfed a month ago!
but family want me back so im trying to prove to myself that it isnt true, top get the strength not to go back,i heard the 607 date may be false, can anyone show me about that, i know exactly what the jws say and cant believe the intial date is wrong, is it?
Scholar,
I know you are very much more studious in the matter of 607 / 687 than I. I recently posted on the other 607 debate that is currently ongoing saying how much infomation I've obtained from it from both sides of the argument, and how greatful I am about that. I include you in that.
However, one thing has been as obvious as a large mole on the end of a nose, that is, 'WT scholars prefer 607 because it is simple, Bible based, secular evidence based' is absolutly not the case.
I realy don't mean to ruffle your feathers, but, seriously, just about everyone on the planet states the contranry to 607. I recently went to Israel, to the museum of the original temple, and saw the evidence for myself.
Now maybe everyone else has got it wrong. I am willing to see that that is a possibility. But, the 607 date IS highly controversial. That IS a fact everyone can see.
steve
this question has most likely been asked before but i must've missed it.
any hoo, just wondering.
as for mine, it shows that i am a good for nothing smurf who loves boobies i guess...
EvilForce,
Get that hat back on! I demand it!

i've been doing my homework having been stung by the vehemence of the evolutionary believers - i've got some interesting things that maybe science in the classroom could approach.
some premises - .
evolution is only a theory - its not a fact any more than newtonian physics was a fact.

You complete B'stard. I have deliberatly ignored all info regarding the game. I was just off to my local to watch the repeat.
Ahhh
steve
Ps. I guess this was inevitable.
this, i find, is always the bottom line.
'" "'you are my witnesses,'' is the utterance of jehovah, ''and i am god.
as his name is jehovah, the people must be jehovah's witnesses.
I recently changed my name to the Rev. Otis Elevator. Yet, I am niether reverand, or an elevator.
steve
from what i have gathered, you all were once jw's and now hate them or the organization?
do you still believe in jehovah and love jehovah?
i have to admit i dont like, actually i rather dislike, some of the sisters in my congregation and i know that's wrong of me, but some of them really think they are better than me and are quite judgemental.
Marianne.
Hello, and welcome.
I was rasied and baptised as a JW. Never disfellowshipped, but drifted away.
I don't hate JW's, but after personnal research, I found the organization is fake.
Stick around, and join in debate, and you will find many people just like yourself.
steve
according to yahoo news, if you drink a cup of urine a day, you can get rid of dandruff, graying hair can turn black, sinus trouble can vanish and even cancer can be cured!
in thailand, buddhist monks do this regularly and swear by it!.....what do you think?
?
Ok ohiocowboy, that was so grownworthy you have to leave. I've called a taxi for you.
steve
hello all, i've been reading your site for a couple of years now, and have found, for the most part, it to be very helpful.
i must say, at first i was very "scared" at what i might find, but contrary to what i grew up learning, there is a "wealth" of information outside of the watchtower organization.
i haven't attended meetings for about two years now, and like many i've read about, have spent many hours researching, telling myself "i'm not wrong for searching", and doing more research.
I would like to thank all posters of this thread. I am by no means scholared in the material presented, however, all of your explinations have increased my understanding of the texts involved and the dispute of JW understanding.
humbly
steve
