Is it just me or are Asian resturant owners pricks?
I have seen them talking down to employees and nit picking.
A few years ago a blind woman went to a local chineese buffet and of course she took her service dog, the owner had a fit and kicked the blind woman and her dog out of the resturant, this outraged the diners and the incident made it on the local news and ACLU threatend to sue the owner.

Need some facts sorting out here!
In the UK you can order tap water (ie from the water supply!), or there will be a jug on the table for you to help yourself - for which there is no charge, but they don't usually put a lemon slice with tap water, just ice.
Or you can order mineral/spring water for which there is a charge, and you can ask for lemon with it.
Will this guys water have been free or would he have already paid for it anyway? Or did they 'upgrade' the 'plain water' bill to 'lemonade' (in which case, he may actually have only been charged a few cents for the sweeteners)
If he'd already paid for the water, that's mean to charge him for making lemonade. However if the water was free, I might call him a cheapskate but still wouldn't charge him - bad business sense if it's the usual thing to do there. Plus, how many people get refunds for not using sweeteners?!
"The customer is always right, even when they're wrong" and all that...
In the states resturants do not charge you for tap water, or lemon wedges. A few places will charge for lemon wedges but they list it in the menu pricing. This man was charged for a lemonade because he ordered a tap water with his meal, the water came with lemon wedges, normally the resturant would not charge you for this, however the owner observed that the man squeezed his 2 tiny lemon wedges and added some sweetner that is already on the table along with the other condiments, this caused the owner to charge the man for a lemonade at full price even though the man did not order a fountain drink. That's a problem, imo the only cheep skate here is the resturant owner.

If he wants to charge for tap water and lemon wedges great, put it in writing!
He should have also charged all the other diners for their water and lemon wedges too, but he was singled out!

This resturant is getting a lot of bad publicity for this stunt, and it's gotten people debating whih party was right, some people actually think the resturant owner has a right to charge him.

When you go out to eat and ask for a water it's at no charge and most of the time it's served with a lemon wedge in the water, the condiments like sugar or equal are already on the table, you don't have to ask for it, so where in the hell does this resturant owner get off charging this guy?

Ok this is just WRONG!
i am starting to think about the joyous season already - i know, i know, i am way too early.
it is still summer in the northern hemisphere, school has only just gotten started, and the leaves haven't even turned yet.
still - i suppose i have catching up to do.
I am a hardcore decorator for the holidays, I really make up for lost time!
I have already begun putting up my Fall stuff inside and out.
Once I have it all set up I will post some pics.
ok so this was told to the entire congregation by the circuit overseer.
"the society knows the tract work brings hardly any new disciples in.
we get a few good experiences out of it and a few start studies and attend a few meetings.
I think this serves two purposes:
1. Busy work - keeps the dubs busy so they don't have enough time for any thing else, more control and isolation from reality.
2. Money - somebody has to pay for the printing and shipping of the tracts, so more money is guilted donated.
This seems so obviously pitiful.
