  Total fluff-Ebay purchases and shipping charges

  has anybody noticed the trend of a lot of sellers to lure you in with a low price, only to find, in very tiny print at the bottom, the cost of shipping "and handling" usually being as much as the product itself?

  i have seen sellers charge $70.00 to send a "buy it now" item that costs $100.00.

  I agree the S&H is high, but for a good reason. I both buy and sell on Ebay. As a seller I realize that people want something for nothing. In order to entice bidders, it's a good idea to start the auction at the lowest amount possible without a reserve,and since you never know what will happen it's best to pad the S&H to make sure you don't loose out in case you only get 1 or 2 low bids and you have to sell the item. But I do know that there are some people out there just charging way to much, so I always check the S&H before I bid.

  Memorial annoucement - Are they for real

  i was attending meeting last sunday and the elder conducting made the annoucement that the memorial for south congregation will be on thursday at 7pm but we do not know where yet?

  you will have to come back tues nite to find out the arrangement.

  can you believe this ..i mean is this not the most holy day in the christian calendar and for jw's the most important day of the year?

  after reading the thread of "toxic relationships" i began to wonder, are there advantages to being an only child and / or would you rather have siblings even though the relationhips can be painful.. i am an only child and i am beginning to think that i am not missing much by not having brothers and sisters.. did you family size have anything to do with your decision to have one child/ or more than one child?

  I have an older sister, and I was not raised with her, wish we had been raised together. I have one child that is a young toddler and I would like to have another child someday. But because I want to, not to give my son a playmate.

  If the WT were to "reform" would you stay or go back?

  this thought has sprung from recent threads and speculation over the new book.

  i know many who post here are still active jw's or ones who were df'd, but may have not totally left the belief system.

  many have trouble with the methods and policies of the wt concerning dfing, restrictions, blood, local elders etc.

  this is the new disfellowshipping policy from the "organized to do jehovah's will" book.

  this book is now the replacement for the old "organized to accomplish our ministry" book, released in 1983. .

  If the person refuses to meet with the JC and the JC feels it has enough "evidence' to act they will be reproved/disfellowshipped. The person's non-cooperation would only be "more evidence" of their lack of repentance to the JC.
