i was in nassau sitting on the beach, sipping a 151 pina colada, watching the jet-ski guy, all toned and tanned.
i remember thinking, he's got the coolest job in the world ... sittting on the beach all day, renting & teaching drunk & horny tourists how to ride them.
that's my fantasy .... i wanna be the jet-ski guy.

how about leaving on your own terms!!!!
you go to the sunday meeting or theo school and service meeting... and when there is an opportunity to comment.. you raise your hand.. and the diligent brother [servant wanna a be] brings over the microphone and you say.. " i just wanted to make it clear that i "...." no longer want to be identified as one of jehovah's witnesses's connected with the watchtower tower society, and then you get up, click your heels, give everyone a farewell salute..... and leave the building singing some neil young tune...... :) has anyone done that?
should we start doing that?
I Love it!
I guess I'm the kinda girl that would do something like that, especially now that I have gained so much knowledge regarding this cult. I believe we should have a df/da club that supports the JW wanting to leave or knows that they will be df'd, that way we can show our support for "our" brother or sister in apostacy. The cong should see they are not lepers and are not alone in their thinking.

i was wondering if anybody feels like i do that if i hadn't been raised a jw i would never have embraced the religion.
i know it's easier to say in hindsight after i know the truth about the org but honestly i don't think i would have given them the time of day.
i'm not a religious person or even a spiritual person and being a jw always caused a conflict in my mind.
I would have....
NEVER....NEVER....NEVER....NEVER....NEVER....NEVER....NEVER....
Joined this cult! I'm a strong willed and independent thinking woman, not a good fit for the JW veiw on women in the org. I don't need a group of people to make me feel whole or important.

*this is a bit of a riff off of bluegrass tom's post in the bible research forumn .
in my old hall we had three interracial couples.
in fact i didn't even realise that they were interracial until i was about 12. .
I have never seen or heard JW's look down on interracial couples.

many use their avatar as an indication of their personality.. how about your computer screen?
what do you have for a background and does it make a statement about you?.
i like to change mine every week or so.
My screen saver is a picture of my son smiling and playing around the house.

She cheated and she was wrong. Now he seems to have made his money after their marriage and they have been married since 1978. Before you slam her remember their are two sides to every story. Perhaps he was an emotionaly unavaliable husband or they had no intamacy. That would easily drive any woman into the arms of another man. I do think that this woman seems to have a problem being faithful though, so maybe she has no excuse in this situation. However being that they were very wealthy I don't see the settlement amount as to excessive, it sucks that she cheated and got some $. Not the way it should be, but that's life.
