  What is the most objectionable thing you have heard off the platform?

  i know many have quoted ridiculous statements from the assemblies etc., i just wonder what irked you most off of the platform in your own kh.. the one that sticks out in my mind was when we had a guest speaker on a sunday for the public talk.

  i don't remember the theme but his main point was the starving people in africa did not need food.

  he stated they needed spiritual food and would opt for that over a meal because they realize they could eat in the new order and there was no need to send any donations directly.

  WHen they said my kids needed a "spiritual" father because I don't put my faith in a publishing company... and my wife agreed with the speaker.

  Who is Jehovah in the view of orthodox theology?

  i always figured jehovah was the father, jesus was the son, and we don't know what to call the holy spirit.

  is this the orthodox view?.

  but if god is triune in nature and all that, is jehovah the name for all 3 dudes lumped together, or is it just the name for the father?.

  Actually I always thought a Misquotes site would be a really good sister site to Quotes.

  The setup is key though, otherwise the dub will read the quote thinking it means what the wt is trying to say it means, then when they read the actual quote they will fool themselves into believing that the wt didn't actually say that.

  I thought a neat little interactive would be key. Show a quote, offer a multiple choice list of what you actually think the quote means... then show the actual quote and ask what it really means.

  There really are a ton of these. The trinity brochure, the blood brochure, the ante-nicene fathers....

  i spoke with a well placed, highly responsible brother some weeks ago, who didn't care for my opinions about corruption "from the.

  bottom all the way to the top" in the organization.

  he defended the society against every accusation i made but was stopped short by one.

  a rumor alert indeed, but it could be related to the distribution of kingdom news no.37, "false religions end is near.".

  the following is posted from e-watchman's forum.. make of it what you will, but in light of all the rhetoric about "deliverance at hand" and "independent thinking", nothing would surprise me anymore.. http://e-jehovahs-witnesses.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=1502&st=0 we posted about an announcement it was only local to our cong.

  however we have found out that there is going to be an announcement sometime in september and it is supposed to be shocking.

  No I was genuinely apologizing for not giving you your props. I actually laughed out loud, not a lame LOL. I was on my way to shower you with glory, but then as I am apt, I became distracted.

  I don't care who says the funnies, as long as they get out there! If I wasn't able to laugh about all this I would be piloting a fertilizer truck somewhere in Brooklyn Heights right about now.
