for me, a jehovah's witness does not have a real life!

jw's are like trained soldiers.

they could be fervent or lax or happy or unhappy in their role but they are trained to drone on like stepford wives.. what an utter waste of an existence being a jehovah's witness!.

i had a great news at work, i will have few more responsabilities and more money !

:) also, i am starting a new business and i have a couple of clients already, so, i was telling this great news to my jw mom and she told me : dont get too proud of your financial success... be humble , remember is all jehovah's blessing .

i agree that good things are happening to me now, but is also the result of my hard work and responsability, and according to my jw mom i cannot be proud of it??

My parents used to tell me similar things when I wanted to go to College. And when I started helping them out, they didn't say a word. lol

Prayer

i am interested to know from other long time wittnesses if they had a hard time with prayer after leaving the organization?

when i left i found it so difficult to pray to "jehovah" and still do to this day.

i am always more comfortable with just "god".

I'm glad to hear that you are out. I wish I could share my perspective on this but becoming an atheist is why I left the Borg, so when I left prayer wasn't an issue.

I do remember being asked to pray in the book study when I was already a non-believer myself. It just felt like empty words once you don't believe.

Lore - I hadn't really stopped to think about that. You're right, as a kid anything I wouldn've said wouldn't probably make a difference.And that just flew over my head, in fiction when someone goes back into time they are considered crazy...lol

Shechaiyah - The only difference is that day dreaming gives me more control of my made up reality. I don't usually remember my dreams unless I'm napping on a Sunday afternoon.

Found Sheep - I also think about that. I ask myself, if my future self could come back to the present, what would he say?

just save every other seat!!!

i was just reading a funny thread posted by fallen_princess about stupid jw directives and something about seat saving came up....it reminded me of how i foiled the crime of seat saving at conventions....i would just save every other seat and it usually worked saving every third seat....i mean who walks in and picks a seat where you have to sit next to sombody else??

?...............i loved breaking rules i guess..................oompa.

As a kid me and my other siblings would fight/try to sit as farther as we could from our parents. The one at the end wouldn't have to worry about falling asleep and been awaked by a harsh elbow.

i think i might return to the WTS

man im so drained right now and tired i cant say a whole lot.. but you know, i was thinking about going back to them and just to see a bit more about it all.. i dont know to be very honest with you if its thr right thing to do or not on a personal level.. .

i guess i need to mull things over.. .

any suggestions from previous jw's would be awesome for me.
